Help to Arrange Trips and Activities
Schools often arrange various trips and activities for pupils to give them a range of experiences. Parents can get involved with many of these, providing help in several ways. You could volunteer your time to help arrange an educational travel experience for your child's class or others at the school. There might be some way that you can provide extra help, such as useful contacts to help the school get a good deal. You could also be a chaperone or escort for a trip, which is often helpful when they need extra supervision. Sometimes a little help with organisation can be much appreciated.
Offer Your Skills
Most parents have some kind of skill that they can offer to their child's school. This might be something you can provide during the day when the school wants help in the classroom, in the school library, or any other areas of the school. You might have computer skills or admin skills you can offer to the school, or maybe you can offer to help with activities involving art, music, drama, or other creative pursuits.
