AD. Newton Hall has been on my radar for such a long time. I've lusted after staying in one of their garden rooms for well over a year now and hooray! I've finally managed to tick that off my list. As our stay grew closer I began to wonder if the venue is one of those 'instagram vs reality' style places. Often when something is really hyped up the reality doesn't quite meet the expectation, but what was Newton Hall like for us? Let's take a closer look into our weekend away and overnight stay in one of the Newton Hall Garden Rooms.

Newton Hall Garden Rooms
Newton Hall estate hosts 27 Garden Rooms with the aim of balancing nature with quality design. The rooms are flooded with natural light and cosy nooks which offers a really harmonious best of both worlds situation. Within the garden rooms, guests are offered the opportunity to connect with the outside world in a space of calm, down to earth luxury.
Arrival and checking in to Newton Hall Garden Rooms
Checking into Newton Hall Garden Rooms couldn't be easier. You pull into the site and are instantly you're greeted by a cute summerhouse style reception. It's reminiscent of something you'd find at the bottom of an enchanted garden. I'd checked in online the night before giving details of both myself and my friend so the process on the day was super quick and straightforward. It was just a case of confirming who I was and picking up the keys.
For reference: I was asked to pay a £50 security deposit which would be held in my pending payments before being returned after checking out.

Accommodation overview
We stayed in a Family Garden Room with a private garden and hot tub.
As it's a family room, we had a double bed and bunk beds, which would have been perfect for the kids... If we hadn't left them at home! The main bed takes centre stage with its pink velvet headboard and the bunk beds bring the cute factor being painted the most adorable sage green colour. Linen is luxuriously soft and mattresses are unbelievably comfortable.
The kitchen was small yet perfectly formed! As we only stayed one night it didn't need to be anything special, but it absolutely was. I think even if you were staying for longer, this kitchen would be more than sufficient. Crockery and cutlery is of high quality and I very much wanted to bring the mugs and glassware home with me. I didn't by the way, but I really wanted to! We also had the luxury of a Nespresso coffee machine which was unexpected, but very much welcomed and enjoyed!
The bathroom has a pink sink! I repeat, the bathroom has a pink sink! How incredible. The space is light, airy and perfectly formed with a large walk in shower, Noble Isle toiletries and fluffy bathrobes. It's everything I could have wanted from our luxurious overnight stay.

Interior design and ambience
Little known fact, but I'm actually a qualified Interior Designer, and it's an aspect I absolutely love to indulge in when traveling. Newton Hall Garden Rooms absolutely hit the nail on the head for me. They're quirky, but not too quirky so that it gives you an instant headache. There's a very fine line between good and bad when it comes to this type of interior design, but Newton Hall have absolutely go it nailed!
Firstly let's chat about that incredible pink velvet headboard! I feel like it's what the Garden Rooms at Newton Hall are famous for! That instant punch of colour is just purely delectable. I particularly enjoyed the wallpapered ceiling too. It's a trend I'm seeing all over at the moment. I'm not actually sure if it's something I'd like to bring to my own home, so getting to experience the trend at Newton Hall was blissful for me. The coloured kitchen also brought me so much joy! Again it's not something I think I could bring to my own home (my husband might divorce me) but I absolutely loved the injection of more colour.
On paper all of this colour, bold and brassiness might not work, but in real life, and from my own eyes, it was perfectly harmonious! I really enjoyed the interior design and ambience created in the Garden Rooms.
Everything together was an absolute show stopper!

Facilities and services
I was really impressed by the level of facilities in the Garden Room. The accommodation at Newton Hall had everything you could possibly want when choosing an overnight stay, and they were to the highest standards. We received the following, more luxurious facilities:
- Bathrobes
- Toiletries from Noble Isle
- Egyptian cotton linens
- Nespresso coffee machine
- Complimentary wifi
- Private garden with hot tub
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in our overnight stay and was held just down the road in the Joiners Arms. There was a wide selection of continental breakfast items and juices set up on the bar area. Everything was so inviting and I had to have a little bit of everything... Like you do whenever you go away somewhere... Ain't no breakfast like a hotel breakfast, right? After munching on continental, we ordered full english breakfasts which were super delicious. You could definitely tell the quality of ingredients was high. Everything was great from start to finish!
Value for money
For me, Newton Hall is on the pricier side of somewhere I'd usually choose to stay. I'm not one for huge indulgences and am more than happy to stay somewhere with less indulgence for half the amount of money - You know what I mean? With that being said, I think Newton Hall is incredible for a 'treat yourself' or celebratory type of stay. It's definitely a showstopper and you can see why their price point is on the higher side.
For transparency we originally booked the Cosy Garden Room which is priced from £185 per room but were luckily upgraded free of charge to the Family Garden Room with Hot Tub. We also booked with their Boxing day 30% off code. With this in mind we obviously got an incredible bargain for our stay which was absolutely 100% worth the price we paid (and more).
Current Pricing Structure For The Newton Hall Garden Rooms
We obviously got a bargain during our stay. I don't think we'll ever be quite so lucky to pull something like that off again to be honest! It feels like the deal of the centurey.
As of now, June 2026, I have checked the pricing options for Newton Hall Garden Rooms for a one night weekend stay for two adults in September 2026.
- Cosy Garden Room £269
- Deluxe Garden Room with Hot Tub £359
- Ultimate Garden Room with Hot Tub £469
- Family Garden Room with Hot Tub £419
I have also checked pricing for the same garden rooms midweek and currently the prices are currently the same. Which I think is pretty good. It annoys me when places hike the prices up just because it's a weekend.
