ADPR. If you’ve spent any time on social media, you’ve probably come across Estrid. But if you haven’t, Estrid is a Scandinavian razor and body care brand known for its vegan, cruelty-free, and subscription-based shaving products. So… is Estrid actually worth it in 2026? Especially if, like me, you’re a lazy shaver? Let’s get into it.

Quick Verdict: Is Estrid Worth It?

If you want a low-effort, good-quality razor that just turns up when you need it, then yes, Estrid is still worth it.

  • Best for: People who shave regularly but don’t want to think about it
  • Best for: Lazy shavers who like convenience
  • Not ideal for: Those who shave so rarely a subscription would go to waste
  • Best for: Anyone who wants blades delivered before they run out
  • Best for: Regular shavers who want a low-effort routine

Your Body, Your Control

Estrid believe that shaving should be a choice and in their own words welcome 'all hairy & non-hairy humans'. They are there for people who shave from time to time, every other day, but also for those who don't either.

Your body, your control!

As a self confessed 'lazy shaver' this is an ethos I can get very much on board with. I feel like there's a pressure when it comes to hair removal. Not only deciding what to do with your body hair, but more so the upkeep of it. There are also so many accessories to choose from, like do you go for a shaving brush, a bespoke kit, or simply stick to a safety razor? The choices are seemingly endless.

Sometimes I'm silky smooth, sometimes I'm a little fluffier... And that's something I'm totally okay with. I say okay, I mean I'm lazy! Although I feel better silky smooth, I don't have the dedication to keep on top of it. It really doesn't bother me.

Estrid's Mission

Estrid is so much more than just a razor. The brand’s mission is to make shaving simple, inclusive, and sustainable. They're fairly priced, cruelty free razor designed specifically to fit the curves of the female shape. It was difficult to find something which ticked all the boxes which is where Estrid stepped in and the reason the brand was formed.

Most importantly Estrid wanted to see all kinds of beautiful people using their razors. Different shapes, shades, curves and sizes, because there's nothing quite as amazing as the female form. Estrid celebrates diversity, encouraging users of all shapes, shades, and sizes to enjoy their products comfortably. And I couldn't agree more!

In 2026 Estrid is still very much more than just a razor. Their mission is to make shaving simple, inclusive, and sustainable.

They focus on:

  • Vegan and cruelty-free products
  • Inclusive messaging (for all bodies and genders)
  • Sustainable materials and recyclable packaging
  • Fighting the “pink tax” in razor pricing

They’ve also expanded into body care and refillable deodorants, making them more of a full grooming brand now, not just a razor company.

The Estrid Razor

Not only does the razor look pretty sharp, it's also got some pretty sharp attributes to it too.

The Estrid Razor Handle.

The handle is constructed using a heavy metal meaning that it's super weighty and super high quality. I noticed the difference in weight compared to previous razors instantly. This, dare I say it, actually made me excited to shave my body hair. Something a lazy shaver like me never feels!

The Estrid Razor Blades

Each razor cartridge holds five blades, something you generally only find in gents razors. My previous razor only had three blades so having the extra two means my shave is much more precise.

The lubricating and gentle strip in Estrid razors is completely animal-free, made with aloe vera and shea butter. It moisturises skin while shaving and supports the cruelty-free promise of the brand. They're made with aloe vera and shea butter which is insanely moisturising, but can also be pretty sticky. After first use I popped my razor, blade down, on the side of the bath & when I'd come back to it the strip was partially stuck to the bath. This was slightly annoying but good, because it gave me added reassurance that the strip would be doing good things to my skin.

The Estrid Razor Holder

I really wish I'd have payed attention to the Estrid razor holder before my sticky mishap mentioned above. The holder acts as a home for your razor and can be stuck to tiles as well as the shower screen. I've not had a razor that came with it's own home (woe is me, right?) so it took some getting used to, popping the Estrid razor back in it's holder. But now we're here, it's great & my bathroom looks so much cleaner and slicker.

The Estrid Razor Subscription Service

Estrid's subscription service is the thing which excited me most to change my lazy shaving ways. Not that I need to! But as a lazy person, the last thing I want to do is go out to the shops to buy new blades, or a new razor completely (which ever is cheapest, lets be honest). The subscription ensures you never run out of blades and makes it effortless to keep your razor ready, which is perfect for busy or forgetful shavers.

The Starter Kit

Never run out of blades again! You'll begin your subscription service by selecting your razor, choosing from five super cute colours. I chose the shade cloud which is a gentle grey colour described as 'neutral, but never boring'. A bit like me! In your Estrid starter kit you will also receive a wall holder and two packs of blades.

The starter kits are really affordable at £7.95.

Set up your Shaving Plan.

Once you have ordered a starter kit, you will then be prompted to choose how often you'd like to receive new blades. There are three options, once a month, every other month and every third month. In each delivery you will receive four new blades which I feel like is a lot, however what's so great about Estrid is that they're fully flexible. Estrid allows complete flexibility to pause, reschedule, or cancel your plan easily.

Flexibilty

There are no strings with Estrid. If you want to pause or cancel your subscription you can easily do so through your account with them. It's also possible to change the date the blades are sent out to you.

Why Estrid is Worth Trying

Estrid is not just a razor. It’s a brand built around convenience, inclusivity, and sustainability. If you want a razor that is cruelty-free, high quality, and made for real people with busy lives, Estrid is an excellent choice.

A Lazy Shavers Review of Estrid Razors

Was I impressed with my Estrid razor? Yes. Has it changed my attitude on shaving? Not quite... But it was never supposed to!

The quality of the razor is by far superior to that of others I have used in the past. I've really enjoyed using the Estrid razor since receiving it last year. However it's not the quality of the razor that I love so much, it's the brand! Beyond the product, Estrid’s ethos and flexibility make it a standout brand that users keep coming back to.

I cannot tell you how on board I am with this brand! I love that they're offering a product and not telling you how to use it. Like I say there can be so many pressures when it comes to shaving. I felt them more so when I was younger. But now I couldn't care less. And neither could Estrid!

If you’ve been searching “Estrid,” now you know why people love it: practical, sustainable, inclusive, and surprisingly fun to use—even for lazy shavers like me.

My Long-Term Experience (2021 → 2026)

Was I impressed back then? Yes.
Am I still impressed now? Also yes.

The biggest difference now is that this isn’t a first impression review anymore—it’s long-term.

  • The handle has held up perfectly
  • The blades are consistently sharp
  • The convenience still wins

Has it changed my attitude to shaving? Not really… I’m still lazy. But it does make shaving easier and more convenient when I decide to do it.
