Books I've Read in June

Just like the last few months, June has been and gone in the blink of an eye. It's been a very busy month for us personally, with lots of fun things going on. Work has been really busy too! It's certainly been a top tier month, that's for sure! With that being said, there hasn't been much time for reading sadly. I was really looking forward to getting stuck back into reading again this month after having a quiet May, but it didn't quite play out that way. June has been another one book month for me. But what I will say, is that it's been such a goodie! Here's the book I've read in June...

1. The List by Carys Jones

Synopsis

Review

Firstly, wow! From start to finish I was hooked by The List. It has a great pace, and builds tense and suspension absolutely perfectly. The book is divided between three perspectives, Beth, Ruby and A.N.Other, all of which become intertwined as you read further into the book. What I particularly enjoyed about this is how up until half way through the book, you know lots about each character, but have absolutely no idea on their connection. I admire how Jones packs the book full of description, without actually giving too much away. Her writing style genius!

I knocked half a star off of this what would be a five star rating, and that's purely down to the book not really finishing how I wanted it to. I was left wanting more! Which I guess you could argue is the epitome of a great book, right?
