March has felt like one of those months that takes ages to pass by, but has gone by in the blink of an eye at the same time. As a family we've crammed in so much stuff, it's been brilliant! That does mean however that reading hasn't been at the forefront of my mind. I've only read two books this month, but what books they are! They're both fabulous reads for me and I can't wait to tell you more about them. Here are the two books I've read in March.

1. The Housemaid's Secret by Frieda McFadden
Synopsis
Millie believes she has found the perfect job working as a housekeeper for the wealthy Garricks. Review
Wow wow wow! What a book! This is the second in the Housemaid series and it blew me away just as much as the first. I devoured this in a couple of days. I absolutely ate the storyline up! I love a good mystery and the story of whats behind the locked bedroom had me hooked. The twist I half saw coming, but as everything unfolded I felt myself being like actual wtf. It was amazing. I loved this one and can't wait to read the third.
What I will say about The Housemaid's Secret is that I'm glad I left quite a gap between reading the first and second book in this series. Obviously they have similarities and follow a similar plot (and plot twist) which could feel quite samey if read together. Thankfully I love the premise and the storyline so it didn't put me off, but I'll be leaving a couple of months gap between this one and the third.

2. The Catch by TM. Logan
Synopsis

But the more he digs, the more he pushes Abbey and the rest of the family away. No one believes him, but Ed is certain of one thing: he knows a monster when he sees one.
Review
I feel like this storyline of the overprotective father will captivate so many. It's a narrative which I really enjoyed exploring, especially through the male protagonists point of view. The Catch is a really difficult book to review fully without giving the game away, but what I will say is that it's a solid read! I absolutely loved it. Now I'll be honest, I saw the twist coming, but there's something about the way TM. Logan writes that just captivates me. I was so swept up in the storyline I didn't really care that I saw the ending coming. The Catch is a an amazing read! And it leaves me wanting to explore more of Logan's books.

To conclude
I may have only read a couple of books this month, but the books I read were brilliant! Both are pretty safe authors for me so it was fab exploring some more of their reads... And *spoiler alert* I'm currently reading another Frieda McFadden book! I'm only 50 or so pages in so far, but I think its going to be another 4-5 star read for me. So watch this space!
