With Christmas just around the corner, I bet you've started thinking about the gifts you'll be purchasing for your loved ones. If you're anything like me there'll be people on your list that are much harder to buy for than others.
I have a few friends who like myself have recently become mums. I know we're difficult to buy for. Do you buy for the mum, do you buy for the baby, it's a challenging one. Thankfully I have you covered! Here is my list of amazing gifts for new mums.

Christmas gifts for new mums.
1. Personalised jewellery.
As new mums we're incredibly soppy! We love anything that reminds us of our children so a great Christmas gift for new mums would be personalised jewellery. I've bought one of my girl friends a bracelet from the Staffordshire based small business Mama Holl Makes. I've ordered a bead bracelet personalised with her daughters initials which I just know she'll love.
2. Hope of a good nights sleep.
Okay, so the hope of a good nights sleep may be pretty slim for a new mum, but it doesn't hurt to help right? Why not treat her with a lavender pillow spray. There are various different sleep inducing products out there now however something I've got on my Christmas list is the Botanics peaceful night pillow spray.
3. Help disguising those eye bags.
Again going with the lack of sleep thing here. Sorry new mums, but sleep deprivation is a real thing! A great gift idea would be an eye mask! I'm a big fan of the self heating eye masks from Spacemasks. Not only do they work wonders for the peepers, but they're also really affordable.

4. A changing bag which doesn't look like a changing bag.
The majority of changing bags are big, bulky and not the most fashionable accessory to carry. The Allia croc embossed tote bag from Masha Hasel offers the best of both worlds. It's big enough to carry the essentials but doesn't in anyway look like a typical changing bag. This particular bag is also divided into three compartments meaning it's perfect for a new mum on the go.
I currently have a 20% off code with Masha Hasel which is CLAIREMAC20.
5. A food subscription.
Food subscription services are always going to make amazing gifts for new mums. We have a lot to think about in our day to day lives. The mental load can be a lot sometimes! Why not take the weight off a new mums shoulders by taking the thought away from cooking with a food subscription box.
6. Something to occupy the night feeds.
Chances are the new mum in your life will be up multiple times during the night. Why not make those sleepless nights that bit more entertaining with a good book, or audible subscription.
7. Fancy coffee.
After ditching or decreasing caffeine intake during pregnancy, new mums will need coffee more than ever! So make it a good one! I'm a big fan of rave coffee and use the espresso blend for my daily caffeine intake. I wont tell you how much I drink, because it's a lot!

8. Great skincare.
A little luxury for new mums comes in the form of great skincare. A great skincare brand for me is Facetheory. I've got a shelf full of their vegan, cruelty free products and so far I've not met one I haven't got on with.
9. A spa treatment.
Whether you book a full body massage or go the whole hog and book a night away within a spa hotel you're always going to get brownie points from the new mum in your life. No matter your circumstances a spa treatment will always feel like a luxury... And I may be biased, but I think us new mums deserve it!
10. Help with cleaning the house.
Something I would absolutely love as a new mum is help cleaning the house. Hiring someone to come in, even just once would be so advantageous and definitely take an unnecessary load off.

Have you got a new mum to buy for this year? What's top of your Christmas list?

I’m expecting my little bundle in the coming weeks - feel like I should forward this to people asking me what I want for Xmas
These tips are amazing! My friend has recently had a baby, so definitely going to buy a couple of these recommendations!
What a brilliant post, I don't know anyone who is expecting a baby right now but I will direct them to this post in the future! x

That changing bag is adorable!! I love it.
I LOVE your ideas! I think it's so easy to just go with baby bits but actually, it's important to treat the mummy who is probably exhausted. Love the food voucher and spa day ideas!

I love this post so much - definitely gifting my new mama friends some of these!
I love the idea of personalised jewellery for new moms! Such a sentimental and thoughtful gift x
Amazing ideas.
And I totally agree with treating the mummy. We often get left behind and even just the thought someone was thinking about me would make me happy.
I'm sending this list to everyone I know, hehe!
Personalised jewellery is actually on my list - I need to add a new disc to my necklace to include Evie besides Joshua's x
Ooh I have some friends who've recently become mums so these are super helpful recommendations!

It has been a while since I have been a new mum but some things you don't forget. I wish someone had got me a meal subscription back then it would have been a life saver!
I saw that bag and thought how nice it was, I didn't even realise it was a changing bag!
