As soon as October 1st arrives it's officially spooky season! And with spooky season comes a mountain of wonderful seasonal activities for us to partake in. The most poignant being, pumpkin picking. If you're like me and have young children to entertain, or even if you want to get those perfect seasonal Insta-worthy shots, you'll need to be sourcing the best patches in your local area. Luckily for you (and hoping you're North East based) I have you covered. Here's my ultimate list for pumpkin picking in the north east.
Small FYI: I'm classing the north east as north of the river tees and south of the Scottish borders. I know there can be some discrepancies between whats north and what isn't. As a boro lass, everything south of Leeds is the south to me... But that's a debate for another day.

As I've been researching pumpkin picking in the north east I've found pricing in particular can vary quite a lot. Some charge per person, others per car and others (sneakily in my opinion) charge the same for kids as they do adults.

Oh I love this idea! We used to do this when I was a kid and I enjoyed it so much. It's a nice tradition I should try to find a pumpkin this year in Germany :).

This is a great list of places to go pumpkin picking! Last weekend I went to a pumpkin farm with my daughter and she had fun picking out her own pumpkins!

Thanks for sharing your list of pumpkin farms in the north east, I have not been pumpkin picking around where I live here in the home counties, as the farms are quite far away, so I get a supermarket one 🙂
