[PR Invite]
Paulo's circus are back on tour this Summer and they're coming to Yorkshire! Paulo's are bringing a brand new show to 2021 with the hope to transport it's audience to a world within our world... And show us the true magic of the circus! Paulo's circus is coming to Yorkshire, beginning its tour in the wonderful Farmer Copleys of Pontefract.

I didn't really know what to expect from the circus! I'm not sure if I've ever actually been to one, although granted, I do have the worst memory. All I knew is that I was excited for my daughter to experience something so far from what she's ever seen before.
I mentioned our circus visit to her a few weeks prior to the big day, however after seeing her reaction and realising just how excited she was I decided not to mention it again until the morning of the show.
I think I made a good parenting decision there!

What you can expect from Paulo's circus.
The show lasts for 1 hour and 15 minutes in which you'll find a wide array of circus performances from jugglers, tight rope walking and the ever popular clown act.
Balancing acts.
Paulo's circus showcases a performer walking up, down and on top of a set of ladders. He skilfully weaved in and out of the ladders in a manner that made us all believe he was struggling however that was all part of the act of course and he aced it. We're also introduced to an acrobatic duo who took to the stage to show us what the human body is really capable. Their counter balancing skills were amazing! A ballerina fairy later takes to the tight rope showcasing a skill I didn't even believe was possible. She was on pointe walking the full length of the rope using only a weighted fan to help her balance. It was a really stunning sight to see! And a very enviable skill to have.

Juggling.
Surprisingly the juggler was both my husband and I's favourite act of the show. Dressed in a typically Mexican outfit the performer juggled ten balls at a time before throwing hats up into the air, catching them in the most artistic of ways.
Aerial perfomances.
We had an array of aerial performances, starting with the silks. During the performance the skilled circus star climbed to the very top of the silks before tumbling down in the most artistic and dramatic fashion. We later had a performance from an impressive lady who was looping herself in and out of a cube sitting right at the very top of the big tops roof. You can't forget the infamous trapeze artist. The trapeze artist came out and gave the most stunning performance to a slowed down version of Adele's 'hello'. It really was the most beautiful performance! The grand finale from Paulo's circus was also that of an aerial performance. This time it was an acrobatic duo dressed as aliens, suspended from a giant spaceship at the very centre of the big tops roof.

The circus clown.
Between performances we were provided with the art of distraction from Paulo's circus clown. He gave us nothing but laughs and broke up the performances with comedy acts which tickled both the adults and the children in the audience.

Our experience with Paulo's circus was amazing from start to finish. We were thoroughly entertained by all of the performances, although just the look on my daughter's face made it a winner for me! We'll definitely be back!
Have you been to the circus before?

I've never been to or seen a circus before but this one in particular sounds great! x

It was amazing! Such a good day out. X
Hi Claire. Sounds as though you all had a great time. 🙂 I'm always impressed with just how skilful these performers are - a combination of natural talent and relentless practice, no doubt. I used to be able to juggle 3 balls quite well (haven't tried for ages) - doing 10 just blows my mind!
Ohh it was! It was amazing to see. X
Oh gosh I haven't been to a circus in years! There was one near us a little while ago but was literally days after things started easing so avoided! Xx
Oh yeah definitely. This one was operating at half capacity so it wasn't too bad in terms of safety, but I totally get it! X
I've never ever been to a circus, can you believe that! I'd love to go. This one sounds great. Your little one will loveee this!
Rosie
She did! She had the absolute best time! X

I'm exactly the same! Haha. I'd be absolutely useless! X
