I'm pregnant! My girl's going to be a big sister & we're going to be parents to two children! We've had a wild start to 2021... And things are only going to get wilder.

When did we find out that I'm pregnant?

It was that funny time between Christmas & New Year. The week which seemingly lasts forever, but for us it was broken up with the most amazing news.

We found out much sooner than we did with Amelia. We found out pretty much on the day of what should have been my period. Because of this it feels like I've been pregnant for much longer than what I actually have.

The last three months have felt quite slow. Although I know first hand my pregnancy journey is about to get a hell of a lot quicker.

The 'Oh sh*t, I'm pregnant' moment.

I spoke in my first trimester & pregnancy announcement article about how long it'd taken us to conceive Amelia. Last time it took years, this time it took a couple of months & although excited and feeling beyond blessed about what was about to happen to us, we definitely both had an 'Oh sh*t' moment.

We'd spoken about trying for a second child for around 6 months before I came off the contraceptive pill. It was something we wanted although it happened so quickly that neither of us really knew how to react.

I think it's because this time around we knew exactly what we were letting ourselves in for!

The tell tale signs of pregnancy.

I hadn't really had any tell tale signs of pregnancy up until my missed period. Although to be honest these could have been missed with everything else that was going on at home. We were in the run up to Christmas, we'd just been denied the right to see our families over the festive period & the week before I'd actually quit my job. To say my mind could have been on other things would be an understatement.

Something that I didn't have however was the run up to being on your period pains. My body is pretty much like clockwork and I can usually tell the week before when I'm going to come on. This time around, I had nothing.

I didn't want to get my hopes up but I felt like I knew... Even though I didn't know.

Documenting my pregnancy.

Going forward I'll be documenting my pregnancy. I'll be doing it the same way I did with my first, only this time around I'll be dealing with a rather tumultuous toddler.

Is there anything you'd like to see from me in this pregnancy? Would you like to see my Amazon wish list? Would you like to know what I'd do differently this time around?

Or is there any advice you'd like to give? I'm all ears.

I found I was pregnant with Rosie between Christmas and New Year (2017ha!) and I was walking around in a happy daze! I had a feeling over Christmas but didn't want to end up disappointed.
Such a lovely start to 2021 for the three of you!
