AI has opened up a great number of possibilities and provides numerous questions for what the future holds. We as bloggers must decide whether to move with the times or stick to what we know. For the purpose of this article we're moving with the times. Here is a list of 6 ways we can use ChatGTP for blogging.

What is artificial intelligence when it comes to business?

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being adopted by businesses. This is to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and gain competitive advantages. Industrial Vision Systems provide AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. These processes can be applied to a variety of business functions, from customer service to supply chain management.

For example, chatbots powered by AI can provide 24/7 customer support, while machine learning algorithms can optimise inventory management and reduce waste.

As AI continues to evolve, it is likely to play a huge role in shaping the future of business.

What is ChatGTP?

Before we look into how we can use ChatGTP for blogging firstly we should have a look at what in the digital age this new piece of technology is!

ChatGTP is an artificial intelligence chatbot which has been developed by OpenAI. It only launched in November 2022, but seems to be taking the blogging world, and every other world for that matter, by storm!

The function of the AI chatbot is to mimic human conversation. You can use the chat box to ask ChatGTP a variety of questions and solve a number of problems. It can do things such as code websites, provide crochet patterns, write stories and play games. It seems quite literally that the possibilities are endless.

With that being said there are some downsides to ChatGTP. There are certain limitations to what the chatbot can provide. ChatGTP can sometimes write incorrect or nonsensical answers. It's also common for answers to follow a similar and repetitive format. After all, let's not forget, you are talking to a robot! As human as the chatbot tries to be, the limitations are there and they're understandable.

How to use ChatGTP for blogging

The thing with technology is that it's ever evolving and I truly believe this is only the beginning of AI. Here's 6 ways we can use ChatGTP for blogging.

1. Content planning

ChatGPT can help bloggers with content planning by generating topic ideas based on specific keywords or topics. Bloggers can input a keyword or topic they want to write about and ChatGPT can suggest related subtopics, questions, or ideas to expand on. This helps create a comprehensive outline of upcoming post and ensure that all relevant points are covered. It'ss a great tool for planning and scheduling future content.

As a blogger this is the main thing I use ChatGTP for, as generating blog post ideas is something I struggle with. I write a lot about mum guilt and the mental load of motherhood as these are two topics I'm highly passionate about. I do struggle however finding different angles to write from. It's easy to write about my own experiences but ChatGTP allows me to think a little differently and gets my brain excited for future content.

2. Keyword research

As a blogger you can ask ChatGTP to generate a list of keywords which relate to your blog post. You could input a primary keyword and ask the chatbot to produce related long-tail keywords, synonyms and related terms which can be used in the blog post.

I'd suggest taking the keywords given to you and popping them into keysearch or whichever keyword research tool you use. Robots are good, but it's always best to double check! This ensures you're optimising your blog post and making it as searchable as possible.

3. Blog post title

Similar to content planning ChatGPT can help bloggers come up with catchy and attention grabbing blog post titles. Bloggers can input a topic or idea and ChatGPT can suggest numerous title options based on popular trends, search engine optimisation, and emotional appeal. This can help create a title that resonates with your audience and encourages them to click and read the post.

4. Content framework

ChatGTP can help bloggers create a content framework which is easy to read and SEO friendly. The chatbot can suggest subtopics and subheadings which can be used within your blog post. This helps organise content and ensures the blog post flows logistically.

For me personally this is a great asset and a brilliant way to use ChatGTP for blogging. I'm a waffler and quite often can go off in tangents. In real life as well as in content writing life. Asking ChatGTP to suggest subheadings means my blog posts are coherent, organised and have a natural flow.

5. Content writing

Perhaps a taboo subject, but ChatGTP can be used to create content. It can generate as much or as little as you'd like. Everything from the introduction to the main body of content can be created via chatbot. Your whole blog post can be generated by AI.

There are a great number of questions which arises from this idea however. Is blogging really blogging if you're using AI? Where does your integrity stand as a blogger is you're copying and pasting AI? Where's the fun in blogging if you're using AI?

Artificial intelligence and ChatGTP can be so useful when it comes to blogging. But for me personally there's only so much a robot can do. My overall opinion is that your blog requires a human element for it to be personal and to be really you.

Writing a meta description that works is a crucial, more technical part of blogging. With a limited number of characters your description needs to pack a punch! ChatGTP can help bloggers create an effective meta description by summarising content, and emphasising keywords to showcase your content. This helps with ranking and can encourage clicks from potential readers.

While ChatGTP can be a useful tool for bloggers, it's important to remember that blogging requires a human element to be personal and authentic. Yes, artificial intelligence has its place (and i doesn't seem to be going anywhere) a blogger's integrity stands on the foundation of their original thoughts, ideas, and experiences. Ultimately, it's up to each individual to decide how much they want to use ChatGTP and other AI tools for their blogging needs.
