AD. We'll be celebrating national friendship day later on in the month (30th July) and what better way to recognise your bestie than with the gift of cruelty free fragrance?

I've been trialing perfumes from Dolma's discovery box set which features 12 of their classic scents. And luckily for one reader I have wonderful little giveaway where you can win yourself (or your bestie) a 50ml fragrance of choice.

Dolma cruelty free fragrance.

Introducing Dolma

Dolma are a UK based vegan and cruelty free fragrance brand offering scents for both men and women. They're an independent small business who believe deeply in offering an alternative to commercial perfumes that is both ethical and beautiful.

Let me tell you a little bit more about how amazing this fragrance brand is.

Leaping Bunny Approved

Dolma are leaping bunny approved. All of their own brand cosmetics and personal care products fall under this internationally recognised gold standard award for cruelty free products.

Dolma is Climate Positive

Dolma is involved in an initiative with Ecologi. This is a company which plants trees each and every month to counter balance Dolma employees carbon footprint. They've currently planted 1230 trees and have funded 18 projects across the globe. Projects include generating renewable solar energy in Egypt and funding a wind power project in Mexico.

Dolma Plant Trees

For every single sale, Dolma will plant a tree. But for them, it's not just about plating trees. It's about what that tree offers to life around it. Reforestation is essential to strengthening the resilience of our ecosystems and preserving biodiversity. Something Dolma believe heavily in.

Environmentally Conscious Ingredients

Dolma follow strict guidelines from IFRA (international fragrance association). IFRA aim to continue fragrance manufacture within the most environmentally conscious framework.

Recycling

Dolma aim to keep packaging to the absolute minimum. Their perfume bottles are mostly recyclable apart from the pipette inside which serves the spray function. At the moment unfortunately there isnt an environmentally conscious option available. The bottle however, along with the pump and cap are all 100% recyclable.

I was very kindly gifted the discovery set which acts as a gateway into Dolma, allowing you to try a variety of their scents. Lets dive in and see what fragrance notes they have to offer.

Amethyst Mist

Amethyst mist is a very calming scent. There are woody notes of cedarwood, sandalwood and pathcouli. This is offset with zingier notes of ginger, cardamon and clove. Amethyst mist feels very spa like for me and would be the perfect scent for those that love to relax and connect with nature.

Anahita

Anahita is packed full of fruit and floral scents. It's a soft feminine scent which for me calls for day drinks with the girls. It's fresh, but it's still got a bit of punch to it.

Andromeda

Andromeda is like nothing I've ever smelt before! It's definitely a one of a kind scent. With a green floral base and elements of jasmine and neroli I think this is going to one that captures many hearts.

Calista

Calista smells fresh, it smells citrus and dare I say it, I think it's my favourite! It contains bergamot, lemon and ylang ylang, possibly three of my favourite scents! I love this one - If I was entering the giveaway, this is the one I'd be after!

Compassion

Compassion is another winner for me as it's packed full of ylang ylang, lemon and ginger. It's very fruity, similar to Calista, only the ginger and it's floral attributes give it a bit of edge.

Cushi B

Here's one for all you spice lovers out there. Cushi B contains cardamon and cinnamon with a hint of orange giving it a really warm, spicy feel. This would be the perfect Winter scent. It takes me back to wrapping up warm for Christmas markets. Delicious!

Dolma discovery set.

First Rain

As the name suggests first rain is a very Earthy, woody scent. It smells like forest greens, only with hints of jasmine to give it more of a fresh scent. I'm personally not to sure about this one, although my scent tastes favour more fresh and citrus notes.

Midnight Velvet

To me midnight velvet feels like a timeless perfume. Like a classic Chanel. It's quite a woody scent, but with a sweet side to it. It's wonderful!

Light Bloom

Light bloom is very clean. It feels fresh and minimalist. Magnolia, lilies, and freesias embody this cruelty free fragrance. I think this would make a great (and safe) gift for somebody.

Sarabande

I wasn't expecting Sarabande to smell as floral as it does. There's a slight woodiness to it, however it's its rose notes which stand out for me. It feels like a romantic fragrance! Perfect for date nights. Sarabande is a bit of a curveball for me. Generally speaking this is a scent I wouldn't usually go for, but upon smelling, I'm hooked!

Sun Joy

Sun joy makes me feel so happy. Not only does it's name appeal to me, but the fresh citrus scent does too. It feels like quite a young perfume and one that's full of fruitiness. I love this one! It's perfect for this time of year too.

Vegamusk

Vegamusk is a very soft musk with sweet hints of honey and jasmine. I feel like this would be a favourite for a lot of people however it's not quite for me.
