[AD.PR] Has lockdown made you unsure of how to make this Valentines day a good one? You're not alone! It's been playing on my mind quite considerably and we don't massively celebrate it usually, however now we're in the midst of our third lockdown, I firmly believe we need to show our appreciation to our loved ones that little bit more this year. We're going through a lot, but we're going through it together!

Here are 10 lockdown date night ideas for Valentines day.

1. Say it with champers!

Nothing quite says 'todays a day for celebrating' like champagne, but why not go the extra mile by personalising your bottle?

Say it with champers offers four different designs in their personalised champagne valentines range, and for bubbles you can choose between a classic Brut, a rose or a premium champagne.

Why not enjoy the magic of Valentines day this year with a unique bottle of champagne served with some lovely chocolate covered strawberries.

2. Games night.

I love a bit of playful competitiveness so what better way to spend five hours of your day than playing a cutthroat game of Monopoly with your loved one.

If you're a bit less old school, you could also get yourself and your partner set up on a two player console game. We like to play Mario Kart, although it's been quite some time since we last played.I love the camaraderie that comes with games and how they instantly release our inner children, so relax, get your comfies on and get ready to kick your loved ones butt!

3. Cook up a storm in the kitchen.

Whether you've got skills in the kitchen or not, why not surprise your other half with their favourite three course meal.

For my husband it'd be spicy chicken wings for starter, medium rare sirloin steak for mains and a classic sticky toffee pudding for dessert... Which sounds way more complicated than it actually needs to be. I think for something that doesn't need to take a lot of effort, cooking up a three course meal can look really impressive, so get that pinny on and cook up a storm in the kitchen.

4. Get dressed up.

There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that lockdown has turned the majority of us (me included) into loungewear lovers.

It's very rare these days that I wear anything other than oversized tee's and tracksuit bottoms (my poor husband) so I'm going to be spicing things up this year by wearing a little black dress which has been sitting sadly unloved in my wardrobe for the last year. I'll be giving my Femme Luxe LBD a new lease of life & I'm already feeling some newfound confidence about it.

5. Get dancing.

Lockdown has opened up so many doors when it comes to learning something new online & the first thing that sprung to mind for me was online dance classes. There are so many different dance classes on youtube these days, whether hip hop is your thing or you're into a more classic ballroom, the possibilities are endless.Do something different this lockdown valentines day and rope your other half into some fancy footwork.

6. Set up an indoor cinema.

Transform your living room and surprise your valentine this year by setting up an indoor cinema.

Create a canopy using bed sheets and pull the sofa cushions off to create the ultimate cosy retreat to get snuggly with your loved one.No movie night is complete without snacks so get the popcorn popped, put your phone away & enjoy that snuggle.

7. Say it with flowers.

There's absolutely no better feel good factor than sending and receiving flowers & my favourite company to use is Bloom & Wild.

Their letterbox flowers are the easiest to send and they come with a really handy booklet on how you should display your blooms to make them look the best they can.

I have a £10 off referral code for new Bloom & Wild customers if you'd like to treat your special someone as well as saving yourself some dollar dollar.

8. Get creative with Ellame Designs.

Partaking in creative activities can be so rewarding for you and your loved one.

This Valentines day Ellame Designs has created two beginners guides to macrame, one being a wall hanging and the other a plant hanger. Along with the kit you will receive sweet treats, sprinkles of love hearts and a personalised gift note to make it that extra bit special.

9. Create a post lockdown bucket list.

Compile a list with your loved one of activities you'd like to complete once the lockdown rules are lifted.

I recently created a list of 5 things I'll be doing with my family once lockdown is over but why not get creative about it, write down your bucket list activities on coloured pieces of paper, fold them up and pop them in a fancy jar.Once lockdown is lifted you could make it a weekly thing to pull a piece of paper out of the jar & do something fun with your loved one.

10. Take it to the bedroom.

If all else fails take it to he bedroom! Treat yourself and your loved one (but mostly yourself, female empowerment and all that) to some fancy lingerie. Wear something that makes you feel fantastic & enjoy the hell out of each other between the sheets. Actually why just limit yourselves to the sheets?...

Whether you like to go all out on Valentines day or you just do something small and intimate I hope my list of lockdown date night ideas for Valentines day has given you some inspiration.... Even if it is just the latter!

However you're spending your lockdown valentines day I hope it's a good one. Have you got anything special planned with your loved one?Claire.X
