I'm not one for monthly beauty product favourites. I don't use enough products to warrant a monthly post. However as we've reached the end of 2021 I wanted to reflect upon what I've used and loved this year. These are my top beauty products of 2021.

Lockdown and working from home has certainly changed my attitude towards beauty. I'm wearing less and less makeup and although I have enjoyed using a number of products, this post of yearly faves will mostly be skincare based. In 2021 I really invested in my skin and as we reach the end of the year I can confidently say I'm happy with the skin I'm in.

My top beauty products of 2021

Top beauty products of 2021.

Facetheory Vitamin C Cleanser C1

Without a doubt the Facetheory Vitamin C cleanser has got to be my ultimate product of 2021. This is my ride or die cleanser and a product I'll recommend to absolutely anybody who'll listen. It's a creamy consistency which instantly nourishes and moisturises the skin. It melts makeup clean off and leaves your skin feeling so refreshed. I love using this product, especially on a morning as it leaves me feeling squeaky clean, but also rejuvenated and plumped.

Estrid razors.

I've made it no secret that I'm a lazy shaver. Even more so now we're in the depths of winter. When I do shave it's always with my Estrid razor. Now these seem to have been reviewed by everyone and their nan, but there's a reason you see them online so much, they're blooming fabulous! The razor itself is really weighty, it's such great quality and gives the cleanest shave. It's a great little product! I can't see myself steering away from Estrid anytime soon.

The Inkey List retinol serum.

It's not advisable to use retinol whilst pregnant so I've only actually been using this product for the last couple of months, but this has easily been over of my top beauty products of 2021. I use the Inkey List retinol on an evening at least once a week and I'm always amazed at how good my skin looks the following day. Even after a night of broken sleep, I look as fresh as my three month old baby.

Favourite makeup and beauty favourites from the last year.

Maybelline Sky High Mascara.

It's not very often I'm suckered into products that are so hyped up, but this mascara is amazing! It was plastered all over tiktok earlier in the year and I quite simply couldn't resist. It makes my stubby little lashes stand up super long and straight. I've repurchased this a couple of times over the year as I just can't be without this mascara.

L'Occitane verbena eau de toilette.

I love perfume, but I hate it at the same time. It's really difficult finding a scent that I actually like. Or one that I like enough to spend cold hard cash on. Once I've found a perfume I like, I tend to stick with it and wear it to absolute death. That perfume for me at the moment is verbena from Loccitane. It's sweet, it's zingy and it's oh so distinctive. It's stunning!

Derma V10 foot peel.

Call me gross, but I've of my favourite things to do is a peeling foot mask. I've used quite a few over the years but it's the Derma V10 that I keep coming back to. Once applied it takes around a week for the magic to happen, but when it does it's so addictive. There's something rather satisfying about seeing your skin shed like a snake revealing brand new, super fresh skin underneath. It's a great product to use in Spring time, in preparation for Summer. After all, who wants their dry cracked get on display for all to see. Not I.

Collection lasting perfection glow foundation.

I don't wear a massive amount of makeup, but one of the products I swear by is the Collection lasting perfection glow foundation. I've been a big fan of the concealer for years but have only discovered the foundation this year. They do a matte version, but it's the glow foundation which just has to be one of my top beauty products of the year. What I especially love about this foundation is that you don't need very much of it at all. A small amount of product goes a long way, giving a flawless, medium coverage base.

These are my top seven beauty products of 2021. Like I say, I've not worn a great deal of makeup over the last year. I've honed more into skincare and self care which I'm continuing to do this year.

Have you used any of these products before? Whats your ultimate beauty product of 2021?

I've loved the Maybelline sky high mascara! I tried it once it went 'viral' on tik tok and it's definitely one of my favs now! I've heard a lot about the vitamin c cleanser too so I really want to try that too!

So many amazing favourites! I love the Maybelline mascara, it's such a good one. If theres one thing Maybelline know how to do: it's mascaras. The Estrid razor is so good too, definitely one that's worth the hype. Hope you're having an amazing 2022 so far xx

I loved the mascara too -- it was one of the better ones I tried out last year so I'm excited it was on your post! I will have to try out some of the other products you have here as they all sound pretty good!

I don't wear much make-up either and I would like to take care of my skin better so this post has been perfect to read. Firstly, I had no idea that a foot mask was a thing! I'm definitely going to look into this, my feet are insanely gross (TMI sorry). Face Theory sounds amazing, I'll look at their ingredients (annoyingly, I'm often allergic to skincare products). Thank you for sharing Claire x

I'm really annoyed that I didn't review an Estrid razor as everyone was doing it so I declined, haha! I really want to try some face theory products!

I worked with Estrid when I got my razor but I have since brought one for my littlest sister too! I think they are fab and I never have razor burn. Brilliant. I worked with Face Theory last year and tried their products and loved them. I didn’t try that product but loved the gel moisturiser! I haven’t tried the other products but they sound great. Thank you for sharing the products you were loving in 2021. I look forward to reading what products you love this year!
