[AD*] Different seasons call for different fashion styles. The winter season, for instance, (characterised by harsh cold) requires one to don outfits that shield the body from the nippy weather. The same goes for autumn, while springs call for fabrics that soak sweats and allow air penetration. However, when it comes to picking the ideal outfit for the summer season, some people get it wrong or find it quite difficult. Yes, the summer is often hot. But do you know how to dress to feel comfortable and chic during this season?
If you don't, here are some ideas that'll help.

Fashion tips for summer
1. Wear light coloured clothing
As you know, the summer season is characterised by hot temperatures, which can make you sweaty and uncomfortable. Because of this, it's advisable you wear clothes with light colours. White dresses and button-down shirts are ideal as they reflect and not absorb sun rays which is what you want your clothes to do during summer.
2. Go for sleeveless or loose sleeves
The perfect summer clothing has enough airflow to provide relief to your warm body. Of course, you don't have to go completely strapless to achieve such. Instead, you can consider sleeveless camis and off-shoulder or puff-sleeve blouses. Alternatively, you can go for short-sleeve button-ups.
3. Don't wear tight clothing
Tight clothing helps accentuate your body curves, thus making you more appealing. However, during summer, it's important you stick with loose-fitting or breathable clothing or fabrics to stay cool. Yes, you can still slay in those breathable fabrics while being comfortable.
Common breathable clothing options to consider are cropped, wide-leg pants, loose shirts, oversized blouses, etc. You can also consider washable silk. They are breathable, highly absorbent, sustainable, and ideal for summer.
4. Don’t wear jeans
Jeans are ideal for colder seasons like winter and fall. However, they are a no-no when it comes to summer seasons.
Why?
You see, denim is very heavy. If you wear them during summer, you'll end up feeling uncomfortable as they are heavy and aren't breathable. Instead of jeans, go for lightweight cotton or linen pants. But if you are a sucker for denims, go for wide-leg options, which are breathable compared to their counterparts.
5. Consider leather footwear
During winter, it's common to wear boots and shoes that protect the toes from frostbite. However, when the summer season arrives, it’s essential you go for something that allows air into your toes.
Strappy sandals or espadrilles are the ideal footwear for summer as they give your toes the room to breathe. You can consider leather sandals; they come in cozy options that are more attractive than the typical foam flip-flops.
6. Reduce accessories
Accessories are great! They are one of the best elements of attraction as far as fashion is concerned. However, during summer, these accessories can go from an “element of attraction” to an “element of torture.”
Having too many dangling necklaces or bangles can stick to your skin during the scorching heat, making you uncomfortable. Minimizing your use of accessories during summer is advisable as it will do you a lot of good. You can also go for one statement accessory, such as hoop earrings.
The summer season remains one of the hardest to dress for. However, with the fashion tips above, you can wear clothes that protect your skin from the scorching summer heat while still appearing gorgeous.

Great post with useful and good tips. As this summer in Germany was hot like a hell, the first thought after waking up was - what to wear or what NOT to wear today. So I have tried a lot and can agree with everything you mentioned here!
