Why giving the gift of flowers is so important.

Giving the gift of flowers can often be seen as an easy option. Everybody loves flowers don't they? Of course, but let's delve a little further into why gifting blooms is so important.

  • Flowers are known to have a positive effect of a persons mental health.
  • They can convey a variety of emotions from love to sympathy to care.
  • Flowers can be a really personal & meaningful gift.

And let's not forget that we don't need always need an occasion to buy someone (or ourselves) flowers. Sometimes the most meaningful gifts can be given for no reason at all. I'm sure the spontaneity of buying flowers will bring an even bigger smile to your recipients face.

The benefits of using a local florist.

There are a great number of reasons why shopping locally for your blooms is more advantageous than using a department store or other non specialist stores. Comparisons range from how the flowers are stored, how they are arranged, the delivery service and overall the amount of customer care put into each bouquet.

Benefits of using BloomLocal & local florists include:

  • Your flowers will last longer from a local florist.
  • There is a much wider variety.
  • Using a local florist is more eco-friendly.
  • Local florists have the skills to make beautiful floral arrangements.
  • Local florists are always customer focused & much more appreciative.

Let's address the elephant in the room. Of course by shopping in large department stores you'll probably be saving yourself a little but of money. But the quality and lifespan of your flowers will absolutely be nowhere near that of shopping through a local florist.

By shopping locally for flowers you are purchasing a bespoke gift that's had so much love and time put into it. What better gift to give than that of care and appreciation.

My Easter bouquet from BloomLocal.

I was very kindly gifted an Easter bouquet from BloomLocal. They arrived at what can only be described as the perfect time as the night previously we all tested positive for the big you know what. The bright yellow blooms were the perfect 'pick me up'.

Our flowers were delivered by a local florist from the next village along from us. We've actually used this particular florist before so it was lovely seeing them pull up on the driveway. We knew we were in for a treat!

Upon arrival the flowers were practically bursting out of the box. The Easter flower arrangement is packed full of yellow blooms and foliage. It's so full of content and arranged just beautifully. I don't know about you, but I find the task of flower arranging to be quite the ordeal. I can never make them look as good as they do online. BloomLocal have luckily taken this pressure off with my Easter flowers and I've been able to pop them in my vase exactly as they arrived.

I'm sure you'll agree that this Easter bouquet is stunning. I love the extra pop of colour particularly in our kitchen. But I also think it works just as well with the mustard backdrop of the feature wall in our living room.
