Last week I spent the week on the golden sands of Albufeira in Portugal. It was so nice to get away for the week. And amazing to totally switch off from the usual day to day stresses of everyday life. We chose to stay in the Topazio vibe beach hotel which as the name suggests is located just shy of the main strip in Albuferia. In all honesty, I can understand why the location may not be for everyone. But it was for us, so let me tell you a little bit more about our stay. Here's my hotel review of the Topazio vibe beach hotel.

Location.
Topazio vibe beach hotel is situated a mere half an hours drive away from Faro airport, in the small Portuguese town of Vale Faro.
The hotel is located only 5 minutes away from the beach. And what a stunning beach it is. I haven't seen anything like the beaches in Albufeira before. They have the most beautiful natural caves with stunning crisp blue ocean views. You need to visit Portugal, just for the beaches alone.
Further down the road you’ll find ‘the strip’ a mile long street full of brightly lit bars & restaurants. It's somewhere where you’ll always find something to do, whether it’s a ride on the bumper cars, stuffing your face with all you can eat Chinese food or sipping copious amounts of cocktails. The strip is the place to be!
Traveling in the opposite direction we have Albufeiras’ Old Town. A stunning town packed full of beautiful fish, steak & pizza restaurants. Some of the views from the sea side restaurants are out of this world! The Old Town is a little quieter than the strip (only just mind) and offers a much more relaxed atmosphere. It's the perfect for settling down on an evening with loved ones.

Our hotel room consisted of a large sleeping area with seating a seating area. There's a large travertine bathroom with modern fittings. The minimalist neutral interiors with pops of orange were very easy on the eye & made a refreshing change from the super duper white aesthetics that we’re so used to seeing on Instagram. The orange accents consisted of comfy bed pillows, large pieces of artwork, silk curtains, even the toiletries were tangerine!
The staff were all super friendly, and were always on hand to help with anything we needed. Our room was generously cleaned everyday which after a hot & sweaty day in the sun was very much appreciated!
Would we stay again?
We stayed at the Topazio vibe beach hotel for one week at the beginning of July & had an amazing time. We don’t usually spend that much time at the hotel when we go on holiday, but we definitely looked forward to coming back to our air conditioned sanctuary... And would definitely be back.
The location was perfect for us, although in future we'd definitely look into car hire in Albufeira, Portugal. The coastlines along the Southern side of Portugal is like nothing I've seen before. The bright cliffside caves are amazing and I want to see more of what the country has to offer. We've hired cars before on holiday a few times, so I'm surprised we actually didn't whilst in Portugal this time around. It's always a case of too much to see and not enough time!
