Beauty | Ted Baker Lip & Cheek Tints.

What do I love more than a multi-functional beauty product you ask? A multi-functional beauty beauty product with rose gold packaging. Oh hell yeah! That's where these Ted Baker duos come in.

I rather luckily received the Lip & Cheek tints over the festive season, and I'm so glad I did, as it's not something I'd have picked for myself, but these products have made amazing additions to my ever growing makeup collection. That's what I love about gift giving and receiving - I love having the opportunity to try things I wouldn't necessarily gravitate towards, as more often than not I find I'm missing out on some right gems!

I received the glossy, chubby stick style product in two super wearable and brightening shades. Sadly the shade names aren't quite as exotic as I'd have hoped for, we all love a good pun don't we, but I have the shades 'Gold', a nude pink bronze colour and 'Pink', a rich sparkly fuchsia shade.

Even though it's a solid stick of product, the formula is extremely creamy which not only makes it really easy to apply, but it makes the colour ridiculously easy to blend. I've found a little goes a long way, especially with the fuchsia shade when using as a blush, so I pop a few dabs of colour onto the apples of my cheeks and blend with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I love the quickness of using a brush, but I'd imagine using a blending sponge would work equally as well at dispersing the product.
The colour pay off from these little tints are brilliant, they give a super healthy looking and radiant glow to the skin and lips due to having a glitter shimmer to them. I love the shimmer so much that when I've used the tints on my cheeks I've gone without a highlight as the product already gives me my desired natural illuminated look.
On the lips, both colours look insane, they're very contrasting so whether you want a more natural or bolder look, they both sit amazingly well and last brilliantly too. I was surprised at how easy the product was to apply to the lips because it's a lot chunkier than anything I'd used before. Initially I felt there would be nothing precise about popping these tints on the lips, but blending the product using my lips worked brilliantly, and I love the fuss free feeling you get when applying.

I love a multi-functional beauty product, and these are no exception. I've loved using them over the last few weeks & I can't wait to continue doing so.

What products have surprised you, and made you fall in love with them?

Beauty | Finding A Signature Scent.

What is a signature scent?.. A scent that preserves memories. A scent that transports you to an amazing destination. A scent that fills you with love and happiness. And let me tell you, when you've found it, you'll know!
I find perfume descriptions quite difficult to go by, I mean I love fruit based top notes as much as the next person, but you never really know if a scents for you until you give it a good whiff! Saying that, I've always found perfume buying rather stressful; There's so many on the market, that it's seems like a complete minefield. After the initial stress comes excitement, when trying one perfume quickly whirlwinds into trying fifty. And lord knows once you're five perfumes in, they all start smelling the same. Ten perfumes in, that's when the headaches start! It can be a stressful time for the best of people!

Luckily I've found the one for me!
Although finding a signature scent isn't the most important thing in the world, it's definitely something that makes me feel good about myself. On a day to day basis, I present myself in a way that makes me feel as comfortable as I can in my own skin, wearing my hair a certain way, applying makeup how I like it to look & wearing my signature Cacharel Amor Amor scent.

I first discovered Cacharel Amor Amor around a decade ago, possibly even before that! You know how it is as a young teen, when you're just getting into cosmetics, the main buying factor isn't particularly the brand, or what the product does, it's the price. And at the time that's exactly what Cacharel had to offer me.
Amor Amor is their frutiest, and what I would describe as youngest smelling perfume under the Cacharel brand. It has top notes of blackcurrant, orange and grapefruit which when applied smell absolutely incredible. The lasting base notes are of vanilla, tonka bean and musk, which leaves a much fresher, defined scent and one I absolutely adore!

For me Amor Amor has got to be my singature scent because, even though I've dabbled in other brands, it's always this red bottled beauty which I turn back to time and time again. It's a scent that's stuck with me as I've progressed into adulthood and discovered who I am - It's a perfume that defines me! I've just dipped into bottle number 2,345,234 (okay, slight exaggeration) and I know as soon as this one's ran out, I'll be straight to the shops to buy another!

I adore Amor Amor!

Do you have a signature scent? What are your favourite perfumes?

Beauty | New Year, New Face With Bare Minerals.

I was a very lucky duck at Christmas & managed to come home with some kick ass beauty products including a lovely little set of glowing Bare Minerals face products.

This is my first experience with Bare Minerals. I can't quit put my finger on why, but it's not a brand I've yet gravitated to. After looking into the brand, I immediately fell in love with their ethos; 'We exist to make a positive difference in womens lives.' If that isn't a statement to start 2017 with, then I don't know what is?

The first Bare Minerals product I have to share with you is the Well Rested Face & Eye Brightener, a brightening concealer, highlight hybrid. The sheer mineral formula contains light reflecting particles, which once applied gives the appearance of a radiant, more youthful complexion. This product can be used before or after foundation, personally I prefer to use this after, and apply it both to the corners & underneath the eyes, where my dark cirlces don't do a very good job at hiding. Damn you dark circles! The brightener is relatively easy to apply. I like to pop it on and then go straight in with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to pat it into the skin.

I also have what I believe is one of Bare Minerals best sellers. Woop woop! The Illuminating Mineral Veil is a loose mineral powder that claims to leave the skin looking perfectly airbrushed, something I was very excited to try. I'm a bit squiffy when it comes to loose powders as I always envisage myself spilling the product all over, luckily for me and my carpets this hasn't happened yet. Phewie! I apply the finely milled powder with my Brush Works Powder Brush, which although it doesn't quite fit the pot quite correctly, it does an excellent job at distributing the product on my face. The finish is a very soft, natural, yet still glowing complexion.

The final addition, and probably my favourite of the three is the Bare Minerals Blush in shade Floret, a super hot pink shade, which initially scared the absolute life out of me! I like a rosy more natural glow to my cheeks so when I first saw this I thought it was going to be way too bright for my complexion. How wrong I was! Using the tiniest amount of lightweight mineral powder, this product defines and gives a natural glow to the apples of the cheeks. I'd imagine it'd be quite easy to overdo it with this shade & end up looking like a child who's got lost in their mums makeup box, so a little really does go a long way with this product.

These are my first three Bare Minerals products to grace my face, and I'm more than glad I've had the opportunity to try them. Is there anything you could recommend? 2017 is going to be my year of trying new things!
