OOTD | The Makeshift Jumpsuit.

Don't you just love it when two items of clothing can totally transform the way you look at your wardrobe? Well, that exact thought process happened to me with this outfit combination - By pairing my otherwise simple drape top & tailored joggers I've created the makeshift jumpsuit.

I've never really thought about pairing these two pieces together until now. I thought because the top is quite formal & the trousers have a very relaxed, more casual feel to them, that they wouldn't site right with each other. Turns out I was wrong (shock) & that I really love the two together. In fact, it's completely spurred me on to try new outfits & fully utilise all of my wardrobe, because let's be fair, we usually only wear the same small proportion of what's actually in there.

I'm sure everyone & their nana has this top, it seemed to sweep Primark by a storm during Summer last year & I'm still not bored of wearing it. I love the cut, the colour, literally everything about it! I think it looks super flattering on my frame too, as it gives me a bit more shape which is always great. Smartening up my look are the bargain Zara joggers. These have got to be one of my favourite bottoms because they're literally the comfiest things ever! Honestly I could eat three, three course meals in these (not that I know what that's like of course) & have absolutely no problem at all, they're amazing! Pulling the blue from the drape top, I've chosen this structured cobalt blue cross body bag, which isn't the biggest bag in the world, but still manages to hold my essentials & makes sure I don't end up carting the kitchen sink around with me, which let me tell you, is very much needed! Because I'm always freezing I'm still clinging to my faux fur coats & my parkas instead of anything more lightweight. I'd much rather be too warm, than too cold, so I'm sure this pastel blue number will be around for a little while longer.

I think this outfit pairing would work just as well with strappy black stilettos and a sparkly clutch, but how would you style this pairing?

Thank you again for reading. Lots of love | Claire.x
