Beauty | Tanya Burr Cosmetics Hollywood Palette.

I think it can be quite difficult when bigger more mainstream bloggers bring out their own products, as I feel consumers buy for the blogger rather than the product itself. I'm never sure on the true quality of a bloggers product, which is why I'm reluctant to hand over my dosh... That was until I saw Tanya Burr's Hollywood Palette!

If you weren't already aware, Tanya has added a shed load more products to her newly branded cosmetics line, three of which are eyeshadow palettes. The Fairytale & Galaxy palettes are lovely, but more suited to cool toned skin whereas the Hollywood palette is much warmer & contains four super glam golden bronze colours that are perfect for Autumn... Because believe it or not we're actually in September now. Where is the year going?

There is quite a bit of fallout when it comes to applying the shades, so the application process does take a little longer than usual, especially if you're wanting to build up the colours, but admittedly once they're on they're bloody lovely. I actually found applying the product with my fingers a lot easier than with a brush with this palette, especially when it came to blending the colours.... And we all know, you can never do too much blending!
Nude delight is a perfect base colour for the lids and acts as an ace highlighter for under the brow bone or inner corner of the eye. Gold coin and Enchantment can be used in the crease either separately or together to pack more of a punch. My favourite of the four is Bookworm, a warm toned matte coppery brown which looks amazing in the outer corner and lower lash line. Together the colours work brilliantly and I love the warmth they bring to the eye, it's a perfect look for the coming season.
Being a bloggers' product I'd have expected the packaging to be more sleek & sophisticated (instaworthy) however with the range, I feel it's aimed more towards a younger audience - It's very cutesy and I can imagine people liking it, but unfortunately it's just not my cup of tea. But it's what's inside that counts though, that's what they say right!
I picked the Hollywood Palette up from my local Superdrug for £5.99 which in my eyes is a complete steal. Granted the quality isn't as good as your Urban Decays' or your Macs' but for the price I think this little palette is pretty darn good & I'm definitely going to get some good use out of it... Especially bookworm, that colour is sooo dreamy!

Have you tried any of Tanyas' products before? What would you recommend?

Lots of love | xclaireabella
