Beauty | Autumn Nails

There's a few things that determine the changeover from SS to AW... Whether it be welcoming London fashion week, changing the cosmetics in your makeup bag or like me, hauling some serious amounts of Autumn inspired Nail Polishes. For my nails, the change over to Autumn Winter can only mean one thing. I wave goodbye to the summer brights and welcome in the deeper, darker, more sultry shades for my talons.

You can't beat a really great dark polished nail, which is why I love Essie's Licorice. Licorice is a super glossy, super jet black polish which oozes sophistication and leaves me feeling very well put together... As well as playing homage to my goth days! (Woop woop!) I really enjoy Essie's formula when it comes to their polishes, they last a long time on the nails and dry pretty quickly too.

If you're after something a bit different you might want to try a magnetised nail polish. One of my favourites is All Fired Up Red by Fashionista, which I believe is one of only five colours in the range. The magnestised polishes are made by The Saturdays, All Fired Up Red, being the shade Rochelle's put her name too. What surprised me with the polish is just how quickly it takes to complete painting your nails. The polish goes on super quick & then the magnetisation process to finish literally takes a few seconds. It's bizarre how quickly this polish dries! It's amazing!

One for the Christmas parties is Fury by Seventeen, which is an almost holographic sparkly gold. On the nails you'd think Fury is just a standard gold, however as soon as light hits it (or weirdly when you're in water) the colour sparkles with a green/blue oily tinge. Seventeen nail polishes have a smaller brush than standard, however it covers quite a lot of area so you can get all ten nails polished really quickly. This has got to be one of mt faves for AW as it really gets you in the mood to party!

We all know Rimmel polishes are up there with the best & one of my favourite shades for AW is Pompous, a deep glittery purple shade. The formula's thick, really easy to apply & even though it doesn't dry in 60 seconds, like it claims, overall it's a pretty darn good polish! This shade is great for everyday wear however because it has the glitter, it's just was wearable for parties & evenings out.

Something more on the subtle side is Devil inside from Makeup Revolution. The formula I have to say isn't tip top, but the colour is ahhmazing! I absolutely love the muted purple shade, I think it looks just as fabulous on the nails as it does in the bottle & I feel super stylish when wearing it. The polish chips pretty easily, so I don't normally wear this for more than a couple  of days... If you know of anything else this shade from a different brand I'd love to hear it.

These are my five fave nail shades for Autumn Winter, what do you think? Is there a polish you think I need to add to my collection?

Lots of love | xclaireabella.
