Fashion | Stripes with House Of Fraser

With the weather getting warmer (even if it is only very slightly) Dan & I have found ourselves continuously checking out the high street stores for what to wear this spring summer. I always think the changeover to spring summer is so much more difficult than to autumn winter & it was lovely to get a little bit of help from House of Fraser with what to wear.

At the moment House of Fraser are working on a stripe trend campaign for SS15 and they were kind enough to gift Dan with a Thomas Pink latitudelong sleeved navy striped shirt to help him along the way with his spring summer wardrobe.

Dan ordered a size medium which did fit ever so slightly bigger, not so much that it looked odd, but it would have been nice for the shirt to have been a tad more fitted. The navy colour works pretty well with the rest of Dans' wardrobe so it was quite easy to style & I think it's much simpler to wear having the striped coloured bands quite thin, so he was really happy with it. In summer he quite often wears open shirts with a thin jersey top underneath & the sleeves rolled up, which will be a completely casual way way to wear an otherwise smart striped shirt.

This then got me thinking about the other offerings House of Fraser have to support their stripe trend campaign for SS15... I couldn't help thinking about myself (duh) so I also had a sneaky peak at what items they have for us ladies.

1. Ralph Lauren bengal stripe shirt.
2. Paul Smith reversible stripe scarf.
3. Gant stripe pull over.
4. Corsivo textured stripe tie.
5.Criminal stripe polo.
6. Calvin Klein stripe nightwear.

1. Paul Smith monochrome stripe dress.
2. Dickens and Jones stripe top.
3. Vivienne Westwood stripe tote bag.
4. Moschino stripe purse.
5. Oasis stripe top.
6. Ralph Lauren stripe blazer.

What are your thoughts on wearing stripes over SS15? I really love the idea of cotton candy shade stripes for spring summer so anything mint green, pastel pink or sky blue is going to be a winner.

  1. Love the shirt! Stripes are such a classic that will always be around. I really love classic monochrome stripes, but pastels will look great for spring and summer! Loving the Dickens and Jones polo top and the Moschino purse. xxx

  2. I am the exact same with shopping at the moment. Forever looking online and in stores for SS clothes. I feel like I need a complete wardrobe clear out! The outfits you've put together are so cute, and I am a massive fan of stripes so I'm going all out haha.
