Outfit | Woodland Walks

Because I've got a week off work (hallelujah) and because I'm still a country bumpkin at heart, we decided to take a trip out to Middleton Woods to do a bit of exploring & get some fresh air in our lungs. We live ten minutes from Middleton so it only seemed right that we got out the house and had a wander around. I was surprised at how much area the woods covered and how many little woodland trails there were meandering through the forest, there was even a golf course running through the centre, so there's plenty of exploring to be had. We'll probably go back, take a different route & discover some new mysteries!

I don't want to jinx it but I definitely think the weathers starting to look up, I feel the cold really badly especially on my hands and feet but recently I've been doing just fine and surviving without my usual winter boots or a thick wooly, comfort blanket like scarf!
Today I'm going sockless (which is always a big event for an ice queen like myself) and wearing my new Topshop skater shoes, I featured some similar in a lust list not so long ago and decided to treat myself. I love the casual look they give off & think they'll go with so many outfits, but they're just so bloody uncomfy! I've been left with blisters on the back as well as rub marks across the bridge of my feet... Damn you pretty shoes, why do you want to hurt me? If anyone else has this problem please shout up, I'm begining to think i've got weird, oddly shaped feet.
I'm wearing my ever trusty boyfriend cut New Look jeans, they're super duper comfy & really flattering on the butt area, which you don't normally get with a more slouchy styled jean - So top marks for that! I've worn these loads since I got them & can imagine they'll last for years like my previous pair, they'll work brilliant with a pair of sandals too as it gets warmer. (Hurry up Mr. Sunshine!)
My vest is pretty simple, it's a dropped arm black tank top from Primark - It has a slightly oversized fit to it too so I think it works well with the rest of my slouchy look.
I've grabbed my black duster & thrown quite a tailored item over an otherwise casual outfit - I like this style as it makes everything look a bit more uniform, and gives my look a military style silhouette.

Have you been getting out and about not it's started to get a bit warmer? I still class myself as new to Leeds, so if you've got any recommendations I'd love to hear then.
