Blogmas Day 1 - Beauty: Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Hi guys, last week I posted on twitter I posted that I was contemplating doing Blogmas which is basically what it says on the tin & blogging each day right up until Christmas day. Now the thought of blogging every day already makes me feel super tired, but I realise for some bloggers this is a reality - Working full time & blogging full time is everyday routine for some, so if they can do it why can't I? So here it goes... I'm up for the challenge.

Last month I was lucky enough to be invited to the Leeds White Rose VIP Opening Party where I had an absolutely brilliant time, met some awesome people and picked up some delicious treats! One of my treats was the Bubblegum Lip Scrub, and I call it delicious because it's so so so so tasty!

Bubblegum is a potted lip scrub packed full of softening jojoa oil, caster sugar & loads of cotton candy goodness. All ingredients are natural, none of which have been tested on animals, making the product more ethical & using it much more principled.
Because the product is very heavily sugar based, each little grain of wonder works as a natural exfoliant. My lips are especially dry & flaky around this time of year but this product has been really fantastic, it seems like such a simple idea using caster sugar but I really can't fault it! Bubblegum acts as an awesome base too for other lip products, they seem to glide on like a dream after priming your lips with this - It's worked wonders for me & I can't imagine life without it now!
Now for the scent, lets get onto the scent, because let's be honest you can't really get away from it. It's so potent and I think it's one of those love it or hate it smells because it's pretty sickly sweet, thankfully though I love it! I love the whole mix of bubblegum & candyfloss going on in this little tub of scrumptiousness.
Bubblegum comes in at £5.50 which I think is verging on the edge of being pricey, however, because it's sooo good I wouldn't think twice about paying it again & I'll definitely be repurchasing. It probably won't be for a little while though because the tub seems to be lasting ages! Woohoo!
This has got to be one of my favourite Lush products by far!

PS. I really hope I can stick to this Blogmas malarkey. I'll be kicking myself if I can't so wish me luck!

Thank you so much for popping by. Lots of love.

    1. Haha :-) yes we can!!! Only 23 more posts to go! Ohh its fab isn't it. I read a review on the Lush website from a woman who said she went through a pot of this in two days because she kept eating it. Ha. It sounds a little over the top but it certainly is delicious!! X

  2. Hey lovely. My friend is a huge Lush fan and I wanted to get her something from there to accompany another Christmas present. Would you recommend this or is there something else that you really love and would recommend? (I'm not a Lush-lover myself). I'm going to try and do blogmas too! I wish you lots of luck! 1. I think this is fab but another fave of mine (and cult lush product) is the Snow Fairy shower gel - It smells absolutely unbelievable. Soooo yummy! They've also brought out a new soap this year called Baked Alaska - I still need to get my hands on it but again it smells divine. If she's into the cotton candy/bubblegum type scents either of these three would be amazing! X

  5. I love this little pot of goodness! It's so useful all year long, but especially during Winter as my lips always get dry and chapped. I thought it was expensive at first but it lasts ages so it's pretty good value. xxx
