Beauty: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm - Sultry & Standout

Hello everyone!! Today I'm going to be reviewing for you 2 lovely little Revlon Matte Balms - I nearly didn't buy these, I had all intentions of popping into my local Boots store & picking up one of the highly coveted Clinique Chubby Sticks. But my local store is only pretty small in comparison with others and unfortunately didn't stock any Clinique products. However picking these up I think I got the better end of the deal...

I think I've timed it just perfectly with these as Boots were offering 2 for £10 across Revlons' Lip, Mascara & Nail products. Woohoo! They're normally £7.99 which is a really good saving & an absolute huge saving compared to the £17.00 Chubby Stick Lip Balms. I chose these two colours as it's gettng towards A/W now and I much prefer to wear darker plum tones when it's getting a bit nippier!

Left: Sultry. Right: Standout.

Sultry.
As soon as applying this Matte Balm I was instantly impressed with how creamy the formula was and how easy it was to apply. I was a little worried at first with the pencil being pretty wide set that it wouldn't give a precise finish - But I was completely wrong. It applies like a dream. This is my favourite colour of the two, I love the muted rosy tones and think it's such an easy look to pull off. I'd happily wear this during the day as well as on an evening out, it's such a versatile colour and perfect for this time of year. It's super pigmented and lasts for quite a while, it's not the longest lasting Balm admittedly but everything else about this Balm is so perfect that you forget the hassle of reapplying.

Standout.
Again this has an absolutely brilliant formula, it doesn't flake & feels really nourishing and hydrating on my lips, which is perfect now it's getting colder as I suffer quite bad with dry/chapped lips. This is a much bolder red colour and much more of an evening look for me. I like bold lip colours but much prefer plum purple shades, I do like this though & I think it's nice to do something different with your makeup routine - I'll definitely be rocking this look on my next few nights out. I love the packaging on these too, I'm really impressed with the chubby pencil format and think it applies so well.

Revlon impresses yet again with their lip prodcts! Go Revlon!
Have any of you guys tried these and the chubby sticks? I'd be really interested in how they compare.

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.
