Beauty: Revlon - Kiss Me Coral

I know I'm a few months late on the coral lipstick trend but here's my take on the phenomenon... This trend was something I was a little nervous about at first & that's probably why it took me so long to jump on the bandwagon. I'm all for a bold lip however I waiver more towards the deeper plums & auburn shades, that's my comfort zone - the complete opposite of this punchy orange/red colour.
I wanted to try something new & had originally looked at MAC's 'Lady Danger' but I was wary about paying the £15.00 price tag if I didn't like/suit the shade. So after months of searching for the perfect shade, i finally found it in Revlons' 'Kiss Me Coral'

I paid £7.99 for this little tube of loveliness which I thought was pretty reasonable as far as lipstick goes. Obviously you can spend small fortunes on the stuff, and as much as I didn't want to do that, I didn't want to scrimp either. For me £7.99 is pretty middle of the road price wise & was exactly what I was looking to pay.
It's packaged in a sleek little black tube and is a pretty simplistic yet polished look, this is heightened with a shiny gold interior.
I wouldn't say it was the most pigmented lipstick I own however for me this is just perfect, with it being quite a bright colour I'm able to build it up to achieve the right look. For example today I have worn this lipstick for work so I didn't want it at 100% but as you can see from the last image it's still pretty bold & punchy. I received quite a few compliments today about this colour too which makes my day at work a little bit better!
It's a very moisturising lipstick & instantly makes my lips feel super fresh, it lasts for ages too which is normally a big problem for me. Through the day I only had to reapply once and it wasn't even because it was bad, the colour just needed a freshen up. I'd probably go as far as say this could be the longest lasting lipstick I own - Pretty good going!
And lastly!... Isn't the colour just amazing! Not to sound weird but I think it matches my eyes quite well. I really don't know why I was so scared of this trend! I'm even considering trying something a bit more orange!

Have any of you guys been scared of a trend then ended up totally loving it?

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

  1. Kiss Me Coral is one of my all time favourite lipsticks :) I can never justify buying Mac lipsticks either, especially not when there are so many great shades in Boots and Superdrug for a fraction of the price. The colour does look lovely with your eyes :)

    1. I do like mac lipsticks but it seems daft sometimes when there's similar colours in other ranges. I'm really impressed with this range. Aw thank you!! X
