Outift: What's In My Suitcase

Today's my last day off work until we go on holiday so I've spent the vast majority of the day rummaging through my wardrobe putting outfits together to pack. This is the first year me & my boyfriend are sharing a suitcase (we've tried to do it on the cheap cheaps) so my outfit choices need to be very concise & organised. I've read post upon posts about 'capsule wardrobes' and have always thought 'absolutely no chance' but I'm really surprised actually how easy it'd been to whittle things down.
We're going for 5 nights so I've put together five outfit choices - I hope you enjoy

Night One:

I'm still loving the whole pastels vibe & couldn't resist picking up these baby blue polkadot shorts. Seriously though, how cute are they? Wearing them it actually looks like a skirt because of the floaty material, I like the security of wearing shorts though - ie: not flashing your knickers at people when it gets windy. A simple pastel top unsimplified with a shed load of neutral jewellery matches the whole outfit perfectly with my mini satchel & tan sandals.

Shorts - Primark £5.00
Top - Primark £3.00
Satchel - Primark £6.00
Sandals - River Island £35.00

 Night Two:

Not that kimono again?!?.. Ha. I absolutely love it & what better way to style a black & white kimono than with a black & white outfit. I'm a massive lover of monochrome, it's something that I don't think will ever go out of fashion. I'm keeping it simple with a white vest top & black quilted shorts. Sometimes when you're on holiday and it's absolutely sweltering I think the simpler the better so I can't wait to wear this one. I went back to primark earlier today & bought the black 'Birkenstock lookelikeys' to match my cream ones - For the price you can't fall off! (I don't know if that's a Northern saying, but you know what I mean)

Shorts - H&M £11.99
Vest - Primark £2.50
Kimono - Primark £10.00
Sliders - Primark £5.00
Rucksack - Primark £12.00
Sunglasses - Ray-Ban £120.00

Night Three:

My new Missguided playsuit!! I'm so excited to wear this. I'm really glad the camera picked the color up so well, it really is as punchy as it looks! I'm recycling my tan sandals & think they look fab with the colour match barrel bag. Night three is a really simple outfit because I think the lime green colour steals the show. I wouldn't want to wear anything too fussy with it.

Playsuit - Missguided £19.99
Sandals - River Island £35.00
Bag - ASOS £25.00

Night Four:

Another Missguided newie with this dusty pink shift dress. I've cutesied it up with my tan sandals & pastel satchel. In my suitcase I've got my girlie stuff & my grunge stuff but i think this dress will work really well with both. I'm reusing my jewellery most nights but i really love the white feather & pink beads combination with this dress!

Dress - Missguided £19.99
Sandals - River Island £35.00
Satchel - Primark £6.00
Sunglasses - Marc Jacobs £125.00

Night Five:

Yet another Primark beauty with this gorgeous yellow paisley printed skirt. I'm planning on wearing this with a simple grey vest top, black sliders & oversized black 'floppy hat'. I'm not sure they have a more technical name than that but still..

Skirt - Primark £10.00
Vest - Primark £2.50
Sliders - Primark £5.00
Rucksack - Primark £12.00
Hat - Peacocks £10.00

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my outfit choices. It actually made packing that little bit easier - I normally just chuck everything in a case and only end up wearing half of my clothes. Fingers crossed we dont go over our 20kg's!!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Outfit: Black & White By The Lake

Today wasn't really supposed to be a blogging day (hence these windswept & interesting pics)... This morning myself & my boyfriend did a bit of housey shopping & we finally got round to buying a memory foam mattress. We're both sooo excited for it to arrive. It's so sad! We're like kids at christmas. Ha. After trecking about in town and with it being such a nice day we decided to have a little walk around Hemlington Lake, we've never been before and for Middlesbrough (shouldn't say that) it's quite a pretty place, so I decided to use these pics on todays post.

I'm not sure if I've told you guys yet, but we're actually going on holiday next Saturday & this is an outfit I'll definitely be packing for evenings out. I'm loving kimonos at the moment, this is the very first one I bought & I absolutely love it. The monochrome print goes with absolutely everything but today I've matched it with my Topshop disco pants & a really heavy sequined cream vest top. Honestly you wouldn't believe how heavy this top is! Really pretty but it weighs a tonne. Channeling the holiday vibe I've also dug out my ASOS black jellies - I just keep thinking, this time next week I'll be wearing them on the beach & in the sea! Yaaay! :-)

I had to include the last picture, how cute are the fluffy baby swans. I'm not sure if I've actually seen baby swans before (I realise this sounds like a bit of a bizarre thing to say) but I couldn't resist a quick picture, they came hurtling at us too thinking we had bread for them. Sowwie baby swans!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Kimono - Primark £10.00
Top - Miss Selfridge £35.00
Pants - Topshop £10.00
Jellies - ASOS £10.00
Bag - ASOS £25.00

Outfit: More Issues Than Vogue

Slogan t-shirts have never really appealed to me untill I saw this 'More Issues Than Vogue' top on In The Style. I love the quote & was instantly drawn to the black & white print (obviously) however I thought the price tag was a little steep at £15.00.
I love a bargain & where better to find bargains than on Ebay! I found this 'lookelikey' on there for £5.00 - And with free delivery I couldn't resist!

Like with all new clothes I've had to wear this top straight away & seen as though I'm being boring and only lounging around at home, todays outfit is very casual. You'll be sick of these, but I'm wearing my black Miss Selfridge skinnies again, they're so comfy & literally go with everything! Sorry, but I love them. Ha. I've also dug out these old Topshop loafers, I've been wearing them for work quite a bit recently but I think they go just as well with more casual outfits like this. As it's been a little chilly today (I don't know why because it's the middle of bloody summer - argghh) I've been using this burgundy scarf as a bit of a cover up. There's no better feeling than cosying up under gorgeous fabrics.

What slogan tops have you been wearing?

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Top - Ebay £4.99
Skinnies - Miss Selfridge £28.00
Shawl - Peacocks £8.00
Loafers - Topshop £40.00

Haul: Misguided Hits & Misses

I haven't seen other bloggers doing this sort of thing before (maybe I'm wrong) but today I'm giving you all a little insight into things you'll be seeing in later weeks pop up on my blog, but also things that you won't be seeing... This is the twist. Get it? Stick with me...
Last week my boyfriend was away and I did what all us ladies do when we have nothing else to do... Internet shop! Below are four items I have ordered from Missguided. Two I will be keeping, two I will be sending back. Can you guess which is which?...

1. Emmelie Black Bralet £9.99
I was soooo looking forward for this arriving! I don't actually own a bralet & thought it was be brill for wearing under sheer tops or with high waisted shorts & a kimono. How disappointed I was... This is normally the case though isn't it when something's so hyped, whether it be films, music or bralets in my case! I'm quite flat chested but honestly, I was popping out of this! I couldn't believe it. I never 'pop out' of tops! Ha. It was as if they had gotten the material the wrong way, there was plenty of coverage around my armpits, just not enough in the boob department! Bit pants really, so this cutesy little bralet went back.

2. Daria Dusty Pink Shift Dress £19.99
What a beautiful dress!! The quality of this dress is unbelievable, for twenty quid it's absolutely brilliant, it's made from a light floaty material with a gorgeous to touch silky under dress underneath. The colour is just fantastic (Can you tell I'm pretty pleased with this one? Ha) I'm really into pastel colours for Summer & this does just the job. Weirdly this dusty pink is the colour I imagine having as my wedding theme. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! My only hmmm is that I wish it was a inch or so longer, but that's no biggie - We can live with that.

3. Sofoclesa Lime Green Playsuit £19.99
I didn't expect it, but this playsuit is made form a lovely scuba material, it's so luxurious & so on trend, a complete bonus that I wasn't expecting. I love the limey colour & the cut of this - The side cut outs are only very subtle, a little goes a long way they say & thats no different with this playsuit. I'm so pleased with this and am really looking forward to wearing this on my holidays. Not long now!!

4. Casilda Dusty Pink Jumpsuit £13.99
I'm so disappointed with this jumpsuit, sorry to get straight into it, but I am really really am. Firstly the quality is really quite bad, there's no shape or style to it whatsoever... As usual I did a little catwalk trying my bits & pieces on and with this one I said to my boyfriend 'I look like a sack of spuds don't I?' I could see he was thinking about what the right answer was, and then he came out with 'Yeah you do look a bit trippy!' Ha. Love it. Safe to say this is definitely going back.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, have any of you got these items & have you been happy with them?

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Beauty: Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser

I'm pretty sure you will have all heard me bang on about my beloved No.7 moisturising cream & how I would never stray from its fabulousness.... Untill now!
I've found a little beauty with Simple's Kind to Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser - And at a fraction of the price too!!

As I've been getting older (granted at 24 I'm not mega old, but still...) I've made a conscious effort to take better care of my skin, i moisturise first thing on a morning and as I'm going to bed on a night, not to mention making sure I take every scrap of makeup off before going peeps! You can never start looking after your skin too early i think. As my Dad says... It's all in the preparation... He's obviously referring to building & construction work though. Zzzz. Ha!

This moisturiser is amazing!! Lets just get that bit out the way with first... The moisturiser itself is pretty light, almost like a serum type formula and because of this it simply glides across my skin. It sinks in really quickly & leaves my skin feeling all silky smooth & hydrated. My skin isn't particularly bad, I do have a few small dry patches on my cheeks, but this moisturiser has totally wiped them out. It's like a wonder cream! I picked this up in Superdrug a few weeks ago when it was on offer at half price for £1.93 & will 100% be going back and repurchasing once I've finished the bottle. I'd be more than happy paying full price for it too - I love it that much!

Thank you for taking a look. Lots of love.

Outfit: Disco Pants & White Soled Boots

Just a quick one today folks, even though it's been my day off I've been busybusybusy, but busy with boring jobs!... Cleaning, washing, ironing, you know the sort. Zzzzz! On the plus side I do have a homemade Steak & Mushroom pie cooking away in the oven and it smells absolutely delish!!

I love a good monochrome look, it's something that'll never go out of fashion & is such a quick & easy way to make an impact. Todays outfit is very Topshop orientated, I picked up both my disco pants & vest top from there absolutely ages ago! I do love them though, I love finding pieces you can wear year & year again (Mainly because I'm so stingy! Ha).
I'm loving rolling up my jeans at the moment so have done the same with these disco pants, I love having a little bit of skin showing between my boots & my trousers and think it adds a more casual vibe to my outfit. Again massive love for this top, the cross is a sheer black so you've got to wear a nice bra underneath but what I love most about this is the dipped hem at the back, juuuust enough to cover my butt!
I'm also trying MUA's lip lacquer today in 'Atomic' it's a lot lot brighter than I thought it was going to be, it's a really neon orange colour. I'm not totally sold on it to be honest, so your thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Better go get my pie out the oven. Finges crossed it tastes as good as it smells!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Outfit/Adventures: Fringed Kimono At Falling Foss

When me & my boyfriend first started dating three years ago one of our first 'day dates' was to Falling Foss. It was a such a lovely day out and we enjoyed it so much that we made a pact to go more often, as usual though life gets in the way of things, three years quickly passed and we sadly haven't been since... Untill today!

With us adventuring, todays outfit had the be pretty 'outdoors friendly' I have however opted to trend it up with this Primark Aztec print kimono. This is the second kimono I've bought from there recently, I don't know about you guys, but paying £40.00 for such a thin piece of material seems a bit silly, I paid £8.00 for this beauty & it does the exact same job! I duplicated the wine colours from the kimono with my vest top - Another bargain from Primark! I love the place! These white wash jeans don't really come out my wardrobe very often but seen as though we were off adventuring I decided to dig them out, I actually think they work quite well & give my outfit more of a casual vibe.

How gorgeous is Falling Foss by the way. It's just outside of Whitby in North Yorkshire, if you ever get the chance to go, I definitely would, it's a lovely little walk with a waterfall & cutesy little tea room at the end.

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Outfit: Paisley Split Skirt

Thank you for all your lovely messages yesterday, I had an totally brilliant birthday & was absolutely spoilt rotten. Today though we're off out celebrating (again) & this is my very floaty, very summery outfit of choice!

This double split skirt isn't something I'd normally go for, both the cut & the print is a little out of my comfort zone but the zesty yellow print really caught my eye - I love it. I've paired this with a simple black vest top & my River Island platform sandals. These have become a staple in my wardrobe recently, they're soo super comfy & literally seem to go with everything which makes putting together an outfit really easy! I've recently dug this bag out from my 'holiday wardrobe' - I normally use it as a beach bag however I'll definitely be using this more often, even in our not so summery British summer. It seems such a shame for it to be hidden away!

Once again thank you for all the lovely birthday messages! They're very much appreciated - Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Outfit: Zesty Lime Blazer

Todays outfit is one of those that very nearly didn't happen... This zesty lime blazer was one of those 'Do I? Don't I?' pieces - I absolutely love this bright greeny yellow colour & thought it looked fab in the shop window but eventually ended up walking away as I was unsure whether I'd wear it enough with it being pretty out there colour.... But.... After receiving some early birthday money from my Grandma (thank you!) I suddenly developed the 'Eff it, lets just buy it' attitude - So i totally went back and bought it the next day! Ha! And I'm so so glad I did!!

This is my 'Birthday Outfit' (Yay) I wore to a family meal, it isn't actually my birthday till tomorrow but we decided to go out earlier because my sister's travveling to America on my actual birthday. Boo! She's doing Camp America this summer, which is something I soo wish I did when I was younger! I'm super jealous!
I didn't want to make too much of a bold statement with todays outfit so I've teamed this zesty lime blazer with a plain white jersey top & black skinnies. I'm also wearing some new black Primark flats I picked up last week, I haven't included them in many photos today because for some bizarre reasons when the photos came out my ankles looked totally weird - Almost like weird little spaghetti legs!!

In other news, aswell as it being my birthday tomorrow, I'm actually guest blogging on Belle's blog - Mascara & Malteasers which I'm ridiculously excited about!!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Outfit: Pastel Mint Green

Yesterday I took a trip back home to celebrate fathers day with my family, we ended up going to Tocketts Mill which is a little carvery restaurant close to their home. Obviously being a carvery we all put far too much on our plates & ended up rolling out of the restaurant afterwards. Good job i was wearing this floaty shirt!

I'm still absolutely loving the pastel trend & decided to go with two mint green numbers from Primark. Both the shirt & sandals they had in about ten or so different colours, they've got such a good range but with it being summer I chose this gorgeous mint green colour. My trusty skinnies are out in full force again, if you read my blog you'll probably be sick of me saying this, but I absolutely adore Miss Selfridge jeans! The fit & quality of these are just fantastic and they go with just about everything. I've accessorised today with gold jewellery & this compact cream cross body bag.

Are you overdoing the pastel trend like me?

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.
