Adventures: 3 Years Anniversary At The Manor

We're celebrating in style! Me and my boyfriend have been together for three years this week and we decided to treat ourselves with a couple of nights away in the Lake District.

We stayed in The Windermere Manor Hotel which was absolutely perfect right from the get go, entering the grounds. We arrived an hour before check in time and understandably our room was not yet ready, however instead of being asked to come back (which would have been fine) we were instantly upgraded to our own little cottage! It was absolutely perfect! The room was lovely & we had our own little garden which was ridiculously cute!

The hotel was about a five minute walk down to Lake Windermere which was ideal. We always do a bit of 'off roading' when we're out and about and we strayed away from the path, walking right next to the lake - which was probably the best way to see it!
As you can see my outfit isn't the most practical for exploring. I've rediscovered some old Primark Chelsea Boots which have been tucked away in my wardrobe for probably about four or five years. I'd totally forgotten about them (yes, bad I know) I sort of feel like I've got new shoes, sort of! Does anyone else do this or is it just me? Other than that my outfits pretty simple, black skinnies, grey top & aviator leather jacket.
I think the Lake District is somewhere where practical clothes overrule the on trend & (whats seen as) fashionable clothes. I quite like this though! As much as I enjoy fashion I've loved wearing comfortable practical clothes! (Not this outfit obvs)

We did what all tourists do and hired a motor boat to explore the lake. It was £23.00 for an hours hire, which seemed a tad pricey but it was the best fun! The hour went so quickly & we managed to get quite far up the lake.

This was our first day in Windermere, the other two days we did a lot of walking - I will be posting these probably in the next few weeks as I don't want to bombard you with outdoorsy pictures & shenanigans.

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.
