Tag: Jumping on the TMI bandwagon.

As I'm relatively new to blogging I thought what better way to introduce myself than jumping on the TMI bandwagon. These have been posted all over blogs recently and mostly in video form...  I'm a bit of a technophobe so I've written all my answers down. Happy reading...

Have you got any tattoos?
Yes… 3! When I was 18 I did the whole thing of getting a tattoo just for the sake of it (not my coolest moment).... I have two stars outlined on my hips. I wouldn’t say I regret these, but they don’t have any particular meaning so I’m not overly keen on them anymore. I also have my sister & mines date of births written in roman numerals on the inside of my left ankle. And the quote ‘Pride can stand a thousand trials, the strong will never fall’ written on my right shoulder blade. This quote is from Romeo & Julliet film (the Leonardo version) it’s the first line in the song where the two characters meet through the fish tank.

Have you got any piercings?
Yes, I have my ears pierced a grand total of 6 times. Once in each lobe (the normal plain jane place) then I have my tragus pierced and the rest are in the cartilage.

How tall are you? How much do you weigh?
I’m not totally sure on this one. I’d say I was about 5 foot 4 (not too small, not too tall) and weight I’d say about 9 stone. Weights never been something I’ve been too focused on, granted I don’t exercise that much but I eat a balanced diet and believe a little bit of what you like doesn’t hurt. There’s on much pressure on young girls nowadays to be ultra skinny!

Have you ever been in love?
Yes. And I still am. It’s that gushy sort of embarrassing love. I’ve been with my boyfriend three years now and it’s absolutely flown by. He’s like my boyfriend & best friend all wrapped into one.

Have you ever had a terrible break up?
At the time I thought it was terrible (getting dumped the day before Valentines Day) but looking back now it was completely for the best. Live & learn huh.

Something you miss?
I’ve just moved out from my parents’ house & in with my boyfriend so I’m going to have to say momma & poppa for this one… And my sister & pet pooch! Can’t forget about them!

Zodiac sign?
I’m a Gemini… That normally means I’ve got two personalities and am a bit two faced, which I’m not a fan of. Gemini’s also happen to be ‘go getters’ though which I believe I am, I want to travel the world and I want to see what’s out there. That’s what life’s all about right?

Quality you look for in a partner?
Ambition! Pretty plain & simple I think. There’s nothing worse than someone who can just sit and watch the world go by…. All the usual stuff too though like someone who can make me laugh, someone I can be totally me with & someone who is handsome of course.

Turn off?

Favourite quote?
‘Pride can stand a thousand trials. The strong will never fall’ (see question 1)

What are your fears?
This is a weird one… I’m scared of those people that dress up as statues in city centres. I just don’t get it. I don’t understand why someone would do that, all day long. It’s freaky!

Favourite show?
I’m a big box set fan. The Inbetweeners I could watch all day. I’m one of those annoying people that can quote pretty much all the episodes.

Favourite band?
Probably Bastille at the moment. Their performance at the Brits with Rudimental was phenomenal. I haven’t yet got their album but that’s definitely on the ‘to purchase list’.

Favourite flavour of sweet?
Anything citrusy. I love the tanginess of lemon & lime flavours, the ones that make your face screw up!

Favourite song?
Tricky one!! At the moment I would say Clean Bandit – Rather Be. It’s got a retro 90’s vibe to it that I love, and the female vocals are really catchy!

Do you have a crush?
I of course have to say my boyfriend. Celebrity crushes I’d say Ryan Gosling (obvious) or Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad.

The last song you sang?
Argh. I sing a lot! My boyfriend goes mad. Probably clean bandit actually. I like to have my kindle on when I’m in the bath, I normally play music from there & that was the last song.

Where do you go when you’re sad?
Weird question? Sounds totally corny, but I can’t think of the last time I was sad, so I wouldn’t say I had a designated sad spot. I haven’t got anything to be sad about really.

A place you want to visit?
Dubai! Without a doubt, that’s next on my to do list! The pictures comparing Dubai 1990 to Dubai now are just phenomenal.

The last sport you played?
Badminton! With my bestie Jen, it’s such a fun game that you don’t realise you’re actually working out. Bonus!

Favourite colour?
Orange, but like a burnt orange, like a sunset. Fussy i know!

Have you ever been in a physical fight?
Never! I wouldn’t even know where to start if somebody offered me a fight. I can imagine I’d be a total girl about it and be no good whatsoever.

The reason you stared blogging?
I love clothes & I love writing. I had a bit of spare time on my hands too so blogging fills the gap perfectly.

The meaning behind your blog name?
My name is Claire and typically people call me Clairey…. Clairey was already taken as a domain name (boo!) but then I remembered my good friend Hannah calls me Claireabella (she’s the only one who does so big up to Hannah!) and that fit perfectly!

The last time you were insulted?

I work in an industry which is typically male dominated so quite often I get the whole ‘she’s a girl, she doesn’t know what she’s talking about’ thing… It’s never a direct insult, it’s a bit of a backwards one, but I’d still class it as an insult. Ha!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.
