Outfit: Casual Mondays

Just a casual one today folks - I've been on a  bit of a domestic goddess mission cleaning the house, both me and my boyfriend had friends over at the weekend so today I took the opportunity to catch up  - bit of a boring task on my day off but needs must.
As you can see my house is sparkling! Ha.

I live in skinny jeans but mainly wear these mid wash pair when I'm having a 'down day' I class these as more of a casual pair because of the colouring - If I'm going out in public I much prefer to wear flat colured jeans. I picked these up from Miss Selfridge some time last year, I'm pretty sure I got this pair in the sale, but I love Miss Selfridge skinnies, the cut and length of them fit my body shape perfectly!

My grey top is from Miss Selfridge too - Its a simple top with long sleeves so I can wear it in this inbetweeny stage where its bright but still pretty chilly.
I feel like I've won some sort of prize today after rediscovering this Zara suede biker jacket - I'd honestly forgotten all about it (surely that says I've got too many clothes) I bought it in the sale years ago and really I've only worn it a handful of times - That'll be changing after today! It's a bit pinkier than it looks in the pictures so it'll go lovely with the summery pastel shades that are big at the moment.
Pink again!.. With my shoes this time though, I bought these last week while I was shopping in York, they're from Topshop and only cos £20.00. I've seen the white & black pair circulating blogs recently but I much prefer the pastel pink versions - And they're super comfy too which is an added bonus!
Next is my 'holiday necklace' I love wearing this with a bikini soaking up the sun, unfortunately the same cant be said for today but I felt the pink beads worked well with my suede biker jacket.

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Outfit: Monochrome On Mothers Day

Happy mothers day to all you lovely mummys out there! - Today I'm off out for a meal with mine and here's my outfit of choice.

I'm a big fan of the Maxi dress & this Miss Selfridge number is no exception -  I bought this just before Christmas last year, It was totally out of season, but I couldn't resist not buying it. I knew I'd get loads of wear from it so was quite happy to hand my money over - Very happy in fact. Ha. It's fully covered with a lovely Black & White paisley print which I absolutely adore! The skirt has also got two thigh high splits on either side which adds another bit of interest & almost makes the skirt feel a bit oriental.

Because it's still quite chilly outside I've layered my maxi with a quite simple black waterfall cardi & fur collared black leather jacket. This leather jackets brill because the fur collar is detachable, I only tend to wear the collar when my outfit is otherwise quite simplistic like today. I've cinched in my waist with a skinny Topshop belt - This is pretty old now, I've had it for a good four or five years but it's brilliant - Because the holes are punched all the way through the belt it can be worn either around my waist or hips. Like two belts in one!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of Love.

Lust List: Toppers Top Ten

Bit of a tongue twister of a title, but currently I'm absolutely loving Topshop & here's my top ten picks that are new in this week! I'd love to hear what you think...

1. Dusty Pink Playsuit - £34.00
This dusty pink colour is the colour theme I imagine my wedding to be - surely all girls must think about this type of thing & not just me! Anywhooo... This playsuit is just the cutest! I love how casual this is, it looks super comfy & the little turn ups on the shorts are gorgeous!

2.Olivia Burton Midi Dial Tan Watch - £62.00
Watches make a great bit of arm candy & this one is no exception. The bigger the face the better & this tan watch will go with literally everything!

3. Kimono by Love - £40.00
Kimonos took Summer by storm last year & I'm predicting they'll to the same again this year! They're great for layering and transforming an outfit, I'd wear this with a lot of jewellery, channeling a boho type vibe.

4.Patch Pocket Joggers - £40.00
I love the sports luxe look so these joggers work brilliantly for me! Worn with a pair of barely there heels & satin bomber jacket perhaps? Or styling down on those 'oh so lazy' days :-) you can't go wrong!

5. Long Weave Coat by Boutique - £160.00
Okay, so a little pricey & I know I've got one just like it for a fraction of the price... But I still love this! This length of coat makes me feel super sophisticated & grown up, I cant get enough of trenches at the moment!

6. Chandelier Earrings - £12.50
Drop down earrings always make me feel really girlie & I love the tribalness (if that's a real world) of this pair.

7. Dune Tan Sandals - £59.00
Again probably a little pricey for what they are, but these look like they'd last forever. I don't know whether I'm into the whole chunky sandals thing that's going on at the moment, but these are a happy medium & I like them very much!

8. Daria Bag- £59.00
You absolutely can't go wrong with a tan satchel & this one is just perfect! The gold additions really make the bag, tan & gold colours are a match made in heaven, proven by this gorgeous bag!

9. Drape Top - £36.00
This is a very versataile & lovely top, either blinged up for a night out of a worn down with a pair of jeans & pumps for a casual occasion will look great!

10.Satin Wrap Board Shorts - £38.00
I'd normally wear shorter shorts than these, but this pair is just too lovely to resist! The cut is very interesting & I like the tailored feel to them!

I'd love to hear what you think of my top ten... Moneys pretty tight at the moment, I'd love to win the lottery & be able to afford every single one for these items, unfortunately that's not the case though - Boo! Of everything though I'd say the satin wrap board shorts are my favourite & will definitely be purchasing a pair!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of Love.

Haul: Super Girlie Spending Spree In York

So yesterday I had all intention of popping into York today and having a few pictures taken in and amongst some of the lovely old quirky buildings. Unfortunately this morning I woke up absolutely full of cold! Honestly somebody around me could just sneeze, and i'd get poorly! So annoying!

Of course I still went - I don't want to miss out on a shopping trip - but i decided to give the whole taking photos of a snotty sniffely face a miss! So instead I'm showing you what I've bought... As you can see, theres a whole load of pink going on here! I didn't realise when I was buying, but now it's all on the table there's a total pink overload! Ridiculously girlie!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!...

*Ark - Hearts and Bows floral dress - £15.00
As soon as I tried this on I knew I loved it - If you're a regular reader of my blog you'll know I gave up shopping for lent, I've clearly failed - ha - but three weeks without buying clothes is pretty good right! The print on this is lovely, the flowers are perfectly proportioned and the peter pan collar is just the cutest! Also i found this on the sale rail, down from £26.99 to £15.00 which I thought was brilliant (worth breaking lent for ha).

*New Look - Pastel pink top - £7.99
I can see this white wash effect pastel pink top going to be one of my staple pieces. I'm very in to pastels at the moment & I know i'll wear this loads. It's a very casual top with rolled up short sleeves - Perfect for the warmer weather when cardi's aren't needed.

*New Look - Floral Headband - £3.99
I bought this just out of cuteness! Wearing these headbands instantly gives a summery festival vibe so roll on summer! Can't wait to wear this.

*Boots - Benefit Brow Zing £23.50
For absolutely ages I've seen girls absolutely loving this Benefit product & yet for some strange reason I haven't tried it yet. I actually had my brows done in store and I'm sooo glad I did, even though I'm quite dark brunette the medium colour (which i was about to buy) would have been way too dark so instead opted for the light. Even though the light colour was for blonde/ashy tones it was just the right shade for my brow colour & complexion.

*Boots - Maybeline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - £7.99
I've been using this for years! It's my go to foundation and I needed a top up! I was tempted to buy a mac foundation but comparing the prices, for me it was a no brainer to stick with what i know!... Any reviews on mac foundation would be greatly appreciated.

*Topshop - Pastel Pink Pumps - £20.00
Now there's a tongue twister!.. I love how casual & girlie these are - I can imagine wearing them in summer with pretty dresses & also skater girling it up with some boyfriend jeans and vest tops. When I got to the till in Topshop the very lovely shop assistant mentioned they did have them in black, but they've been selling like hot cakes, and the pastel pink ones were going the same way, so I'm glad I got them when I did!

*The Yorkshire Soap Company Bath Bomb - £2.50
I've never heard of this shop before but walking past the smell was absolutely divine so we had to have a look in - The shop was completely magical! It's amazing. They have these lovely little soaps set out like cupcakes & larger versions set up as tiered cakes. Just stunning! Definitely worth a smell/look!

*The Yorkshire Soap Company Liquorice Soap - £3.00
We were in this shop for absolutely ages smelling all the different bits and pieces. In the end I opted for liquorice, it took me straight back to buying blackjacks on the way to school, it smells so sweet & lovely, and its a smell both me and my boyfriend can get a way with using so that went down well :-)

Hope you like all my purchases - I'm very pleased with my haul today!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of Love.

Outfit: Pastel Ventures

Todays pics are a little bit different - I've decided to make the most of the dry weather (even if it did only last a few hours) and venture out into the sticks. I don't know why I haven't done it sooner tbh, outdoorsy photos always look better and it's only a five minute walk from my parents house.

 Here's my outfit anyway...

I promise I do take it off my back, but my H&M trench is making another appearance - sorrynotsorry. At £25,00 it's been such a good buy & I've had loads of wear out of it already! It makes me feel super sophisticated and grown up.
I'm going for pastel colours again today - I've been loving this look since seeing it all over the high during the past months, It's so easy to wear too. I love matching pastel colours together so I've teamed my baby pink mohair sweater with a smart crepe mint green shirt. I think the two colours go really nice together & look really girlie. This is a style I've been probably overdoing recently but I've accesorised with pink collar clips - I love this look as it dramatically changes the appearance of an otherwise quite simple sweater and shirt.
Contrasting black disco pants and jelly shoes have been added to add another side to my look. I don't normally overload with pastel colours and maybe stick to matching two or three togegther - It's nice to give myself a more rocky look.

My hair here as well actually I tried to recreate Zoella's Halo Braid. I think i probably need my hair to be a bit longer, but it worked pretty well. It was really simple to do as well which is always a bonus!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of Love.

Tag: Beauty Blogger

So today I've been nominated to take park in the Beauty Blogger Tag by the lovely Melodie Benson so here goes, here's a little insight into being me...

1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy or straight?
Wavy, I straighten it most days though.

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
Dye it myself – I’m trying to keep it as natural as possible though so I haven’t actually dyed it for ages!

3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
Nah – I like to change things up a bit, I wouldn’t say I was too wild, but it’s nice to do something different.
4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I polish my own nails – I usually use Perfectly Polished but I’m desperately trying to save money at the moment.
5. How often do you change your nail polish?
Each week – I get bored otherwise. I always use Essie too!

6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
Just summer.

7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
Not long – I can usually do my full make up routine within about ten minutes. I've been practicing for a while, ha!

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Foundation & bases first – I always leave my eyes till last.

9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I only buy when I need it

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Not very often at all – Only on special occasions really. I used to wear them all the time really but now I;m not as fussed - Just extra hassle!

11. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?
No.. I think you need to have ‘off days’ so you can let your skin breathe - Wearing too much make up can give me blemishes and spots so I try to only wear small amounts.

12. Do you wear makeup when you’re home alone or with family?
Nope – These are my ‘off days’ ha!. Bra off - Make up off - Sweatpants on.

13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yupp, the older I’m getting, the less bothered I’m getting about being seen in public with a naked face.

14. How many high-end products do you have?
Only a couple – When it comes to make up I’m not particularly into the high end stuff.

15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you’re getting dressed?
Not every night, sometimes though I’ll find myself just before I’m going to sleep thinking up possible outfits for the next day. Then when the next day comes round I always change my mind!

16. How often do you change your handbag?
Maybe every couple of days, I love accessorising with different handbags, but transporting everything you have in one bag to another can feel like a bit of a chore!

17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
Usually I go to bed about 11 and wake up at 7.30 during the week. I’m not very good at sleeping in anymore unfortunately so even on weekends I don’t wake up much later than this.
18. How often or when do you workout?
I’ve gotten really lazy recently with regards to exercise! Like I’ve literally done nothing for weeks! Must get my butt in gear!

19. Left handed or right handed?
Right handed.

20. How tall are you?
I'm not too sure to be honest, around 5 foot 4 I'd say. Not too tall - Not too small.

21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
I studied French & Spanish while at school so I’d say I know the basics – Weather I’d be able to remember much else mind I’m not sure.

22. How many pets do you have?
Three fish. Stashy, Mr Kipper & Tiddles. Ha - My boyfriend named them honest!

23. How often are you on WordPress?
Only to read other peoples blogs – I use blogger & I’m on that pretty much every day.

24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Yupp – I love hearing from people who have taken time to read my blog. I always reply too!

25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yepp. I’ve got a really bad memory so I make a list of loads of clothes & beauty products I’d like to try.

26. How did you come up with your blog name?
My name is Claire but one of my close friends calls me Claireabella. Pretty simple really!

27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
Fujifilm Digital SLR

28. How often do you clean your house?
I’ve recently just moved out from my parents and in with my boyfriend and am feeling very house proud, so I’d say all the time ha! For now anyway - Lets see how long it lasts!

29. What’s your favorite color?
Burnt orange.

30. What is your favorite drugstore/high end makeup brand?
I use quite a lot of Maybeline products & MAC as my high end product so both those two.

31. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Editing some pictured from today’s shoot! Ready for another post tomorrow

Hope this gave you a better insight into being me, to carry the chain on I'd like to nominate...

Tag: Liebster Award

So today I've been nominated for the Liebster award by the lovely Kayleigh Bestwick at The Finders Keepers Fashion. I was beyond excited this morning when her tweet popped up on my news feed!... Its brilliant to be recognised for my fashion blog considering I'm only pretty new to the scene. So thank you Kayleigh!!

For those who don't know what the Liebster award is all about here are three simple rules to follow...
* Post 11 facts about yourself
*Answer 11 questions from the person who nominated you
* Nominate 11 bloggers for the award with less than 200 followers

Here are 11 facts about me...
1. I love good coffee! I'm far too obsessed for my own good.
2. At restaurants I'll always cover food i can't finish with my napkin.
3. I'm prone to the most stupid of accident (cutting myself on the cling film blade).
4. Some of my teeth aren't real.
5. Even though I'm not religious, I'm really interested by other peoples religions & cultures.
6. Whenever the flu is going round I'll always get it.
7. I love dancing, I wish I'd gone to dance classes when I was younger.
8. On a regular basis I'll imagine what I'd spend my theoretical lottery wins on.
9. I'm scared of living statues - Not sure of the proper names for these but the people who dress up as statues.
10. My boyfriend is the only one who can make me proper belly laugh, like uncontrollably.
11. I can quote pretty much all of the inbetweeners.

Here are the questions Kayleigh has asked me...

1. What is your biggest goal in life?
I'd love to be able to say something career wise, but my goal in life is to be a mum and have a family. I'm not quite ready for the whole kids thing yet, but soon, I cant wait to be a mum and have my own little family. I can't imagine going through life and not having kids, to me it's what life's all about.

2. If your personality was in the form of an animal, what would you be?
Oooo tricky! Ha. This is a weird question I wasn't expecting - I'm going to go with a lamb. I think I've got quite a gentle personality whilst also being a bit bouncy and excitable.

3. What guilty pleasure do you enjoy too much to give up?
Female power ballads! Ha. I love a good sing song especially to Whitney or Celine. Me and my sister both love a sing along actually and quite often annoy our parents with our cat like tones.

4. If you had the option to change your name what would it be?
I don't have a middle name so instead of changing my whole name I'd probably opt for a second name... Claire Louise or Claire Marie. I like my name though, not many people nowadays are called Claire so it's pretty good.

5. If you had the choice of a super power, what would it be?
I'd love to be able to freeze time. I'm always complaining of not having enough hours in the day. There's always way to many jobs that need doing and not enough time to do them in.

6. Have you ever met any celebrities?
Nope, not in person. I did have a dream last night though about Eamon Holmes though if that counts? Sounds weird I know.

7. What is the most unusual conversation you've ever had?
Hmmm. I cant actually think of anything to hand, i quite often have weird conversations with my boyfriend though, just about loads of random crap that doesn't really have any relevance, to anything.

8. What inspired you to write your blog?
I love fashion, and I love writing. In a way I wish I'd taken some kind of writing/journalism course at University, but I'm really enjoying my blog & it's something i'm immensley proud of.

9. If money was no option, name one thing you would buy.
A house. 100%. A house is on my next 'grown up to buy list'.

10. How many items of clothing do you own?
Probably a lot more than i  think! I've got a bad habit of buying things, wearing it once & forgetting about it.

11. Are you a tea, coffee or hot chocolate kind of girl?
Coffee!! I love coffee. As bad as it is I probably drink between about 8 - 10 cups a day.

Here are the lovely bloggers I would love to answer my questions...

And my questions are...

1. What is your most prized possession?
2. What advice would you give to someone writing a blog?
3. Who is your celebrity crush?
4. Where is the best holiday destination you've been to?
5. How has blogging altered your life?
6. What is your biggest fear?
7. Where did your blog name come from?
8. Do you play any sport?
9. Do you have any pets?
10. What has been the best your best life experience so far?
11. Whats your number one fashion/beauty tip?

Get posting ladies! Can't wait to hear from you!

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of love.

Jewellery: Hearts Of Brass

I'm a total girl when it comes to jewellery so today I've been in my absolute element having a sneak peak into the world of 'Hearts Of Brass'.
I've mentioned before how I'm a big advocate for small businesses & Hearts Of Brass falls just perfectly under that category... Lorna Heron single handedly runs this lovely little jewellery business based in the sunny North East of England. All her jewellery is hand made using the finest sterling silver, copper & brass. There are so many pretty & delicate designs its difficult to choose a favourite! Here I've photographed a few of mine....

Stacker rings have become a massive thing over the last few years with the likes of Pandora completely taking over the world! Or at least it seems like it... Everybody's got Pandora rings & charm bracelets now, it's a bit boring really (Zzzz!) These Hearts Of Brass rings make a refreshing change, they're so pretty, excellent quality and for a fraction of the price too!... Who's to argue with that!

I love cute little dainty earrings and these two here are no exception! I can't decide which pair I like most!

These tag style bangles are made from sterling silver and each tag is lightly hammered to give a more interesting texture & appearance. I haven't really seen anything like this on the high street  so it's nice to see something different, I don't like having the same typical jewellery as everybody else so these are ace!

These are just a few examples I came across today, they're all very dainty & very very cute! Like I said previously it's lovely to see something new on the market jewellery wise and all these examples make a refreshing change. Do something different & stand out from the crowd in Hearts Of Brass.

Thanks for taking a look. Lots of Love.
